I grew up in England and moved to Scotland in my late childhood, I always had far more xenophobia from english people than Scottish The way scottish people tease you for it is in good fun, but there's venom behind the way English people deride Scottish (or in my case, half scottish) people I will never forget the way I was treated in 2014 when i revisited England The irony is that to scottish people, I sound english, and the same is true vice versa

As a Greek who has the chance to meet a lot of foreigners due to the fact my business is in tourism and I'm planning on visiting Scotland and Ireland in the near future, I can say for a fact that Irish and Scots are wonderful people It's not that I dislike the English folks, it's just that we get along better with Scots and Irish Greek educational system is highly demanding and we're quite fond of History not only of Creece but other nations too We are quite aware of the Gaelic language and the Celts in general,not to mention the fact but as victims of the Ottoman occupation, our heart always goes out to the nations who fought and struggled to maintain their identity and dignity British colonization created trouble to our country as well in the past We appreciate Irish and Scots greatly, and I'm happy that the feelings are mutual and always return this appreciation back to us They are great lads

I've lived in scotland my entire life but both my parents are english They both have scottish accents and all that, so many english people would consider me scottish because of my up bringing lol (I've never been outside of Scotland before even)brbrMost scottish people (mainly younger ones) tend to dislike england pretty blindly, and don't necessarily have a reason other than finding them annoyingbrbut I've noticed that these feelings have been passed down between families for generations It's to do with history, like how england wiped out most scottish languages and stuff like thatbrI guess also because english leaders tend to ignore scotland while still enforcing their laws on us (I know scotland didn't vote for independence or whatever, but c'mon man that was BEFORE Boris Johnson)brbrat the very least, this is what I've gathered, might be different in other areas or maybe I'm just completely wrong lol
