Robert Wenkam wrote 50 years ago that the carrying capacity of Maui in terms of tourists would be a maximum 1 million but now Maui gets many times that number, and there is no end in sight and no real effort is made to stop this out of control development It is truly, truly sad

Is there any way as a tourist to know when the best time is to travel to a place, so we don’t overload these places with people? I want to be an ethical traveller, but I’m not sure what the best way is to do this, from the perspective of the residents I try to respect everywhere I visit like I want people to respect my town But I don’t know if that’s enough

Many countries, cities has exact the same problem Corperates like Airbnb, who do not pay any tax to any country, must be forbidden Rich big travel companies with cheap flights (China, Siuthkorea,Europe) with pre-booked hotels, shuttelbuses, contracted restaurants from China, South Korea, are bringing masses mostly daytrippers to continents They have already destroyed islands in Southeastasean, there is no restriction or limitation from the goverments The people are not participated in the high incomes of these agencies or with taxes to help build a waste management, waterfiltration or water recycling unitsThese tourism leaves all problems to the countries: The pollution and the destruction of natur, seaworld and the envirement of people, must stop! Its like a planned invasion happening now worldwide! I think its planned by Neoliberals, the 1-3 of Superrich, to get more rich with agencies, real estates of condo- complexes, hotels, airports and to destroy! Mass tourism is a kind of War, favouring those who becomes faster rich in the last years, in manipulating the mind of people, the stoxx, the free market and so one! If we do not stop them, they will leave only destruction and poverty! Wake up people!! These Few Rich of Ultra rich are denying the climate change and will destroy our world!

Too many people doing this, doing that, going here and going there Last time I was in South Africa I turned down the opportunity to visit Kruger NationalbrPark simply because of the auto traffic which really is just an annoyance to the animals Air travel is just not the same anymore and is just an adventure inbrfrustration No thanks!
