I highly recommend everyone here invest in Bullion and cryptocurrency as a back up ! The US dollar ‘debt instrument is dying and sorry to state this here but is fact that can’t be denied All Rotchild central bankers currencies are dying ! Look at El Salvador 🇸🇻, the president there made cryptocurrency part of its monetary system and paid off its debt and is financially doing much better than Costa Rica 🇨🇷 Comment from : WhiskeyKilo2H |

I tried getting my drivers license two times, both times I was completely stressed out every session So I never had the high cost of a car, fuel, inspections, insurances etc etc and that put me on a different path than most people: I didn't need to earn much I didn't need to stress about a career, only earning a living I could pursue screenwriting and although I lacked the absolute desire to succeed (it didn't mean that much to me, it's just something I liked doing) I wouldn't wanna miss that time And now I'm in Costa Rica And I never lived that great before The nature The wildlife The views People who don't care or can't begin to care about a lot of money People who just want to live their life and not be fazed by all those societal standards Don't get me wrong, I still work 40 hours a week But it's because I choose to and there's still SO much time left after work I feel blessed having come here Comment from : Olaf Weyer |

Oh, teach us about the currency plz😊 Comment from : Vangie Bruce |

Ty Michael, me and my sons are learning a lot from you There is no doubt that I am gonna be ok there I too live a simple way of life, haven’t always, but have for a long time now Someone asked me awhile back if my house embarrassed me, I said no, I would be more embarrassed to be living beyond my means A character flaw so many have anymore 😢 Anyway, I forgot where I was going with this 💨😂 keep it real, ✌🏻 Comment from : Vangie Bruce |

Hi Mike and Everyone! We've lived in the Central Valley for just over a year For us, expenses balance out; some things are less than we were used to and some things are more Not owning a home or car saves us a ton of money We pay, $30 for Internet good enough to work remotely and close to $100 for electricity (HVAC, no; washer and dryer, yes) Buy local and groceries will be reasonable, but imported items are expensive We have a post-paid Liberty phone which is super inexpensive Dog food for a 70 lb Siberian Husky runs about twice what we paid for it in the US Our wonderful vet costs us about the same, while our awesome dentist experiences have been very reasonable Thanks for the great video! Great follow up video Michael! Your food cost runs you about 50 of your monthly expenditures (but eating out can be expensive) It seems like not having a car in Costa Rica can really dial your costs down as long as you have a bike, public transportation or Uber (do they have Uber in La Fortuna?) Thanks for sharing :) Comment from : Steve Hartz |
|

I wouldn't recommend relocating to Costa Rica without having a cash reserve either Yes, you may be able to get by on $1200 a month or sometimes less, as long as nothing majorly bad happens But cash in the bank allows you flexibility to deal with adversity Let's say your landlord decides to jack up the rent for example Having a reserve allows you the time to look for another place Comment from : Jeff Berg |
|
Michael seems to spend about $50 a month on coffee, too! Drinks it by the barrel Comment from : Steve Elling |
