Couldn't agree with you more, Ben! I think I perfectly illustrate the fact that you don't NEED to live in a country to learn their language, although it's the most efficient way to improvebrI only stayed in Britain for 6 weeks And yes, these days we are definitely lucky to have so many resources, in my days, there were only handbooks with artificial situations and pictures! And the output is definitely the part you should concentrate on; I used to speak German much better than English, but I've lost a lot for not practising it any more 😐and I've been a little lazy with English as well these days 😉 Comment from : KA BE33 |

I adore answer different questions For example, I go to the Internet and write "Questions for dissolution" Pick any link and answer those questions out loud That helps a lot to improve vocabulary and overcome the speaking brier Comment from : Common Mistakes |

I think I'll take you up on that tip about writing a journal I have a sort of a "perpetual dictionary" where I'm writing down interesting words (and the context I found them in) but I never get around to using them, so this might be a good second step 👍🏻thanks for encouraging us that we can actually do it without living in an english-speaking country (I would love to, though 😎😜) Comment from : Maja Jackson |
Hi Ben, I’ve noticed that you used the word advantage on this video and I was wondering what is the difference between the advantage of +ing and the advantage to+ ing? Excellent video, Ben! Comment from : Marcelo |

An idea could be gathering in the local library to comment a book, every two weeks In a target language, with people interested in more than their mother tongue Comment from : Fela Pérez |

Thanks Ben, you are perfectly right, but even if I try to do all this sort of study, my problem is the age of my brain I don't remember the new words so I have to use long sentence to explain that one I can't come up It's a bit frustrating Comment from : Emanuela Pontil Ceste |
that is a first step Comment from : Martin Jokeš |
Thank you Ben Your points are interesting and realistic but as the preceding commentary mentions immersion in facebook and googling but it is so difficult to do that However being proactive means push yourself forward and keep in mind your objective and you will succeed but I am afraid this communication has to be a daily one and frequent too more than half hours a day or otherwise the result is null Comment from : Fleur Blanche |
It's all about immersion and googling Comment from : ProfessionalSeaOfTeaSwimmer |
