I heard the public hospitals are not so wonderful Also, isn't it a requirement that you must have government insurance if you are a resident? How much is the monthly cost for resident insurance? I have to question your figures, I am an Expat who now has Turkish Citizenship living in Fethiye As a Turk I pay 75 lira a month for SGK health care which cover me for free treatment at any government run hospital It gives me a discount of about 40 in private hospitals However if I was an expat I would be paying 10 times that amount, about 700 lira a month still cheaper than USA but more than you say

WOW!! Thank you for informing us that not only medical care outside the US is excellent, it’s affordable Not bogged by by red tape & paperwork I had a job in healthcare for 18 1/2 years and it became so stressful due to insurance & paperwork & lack of patient care God bless and good luck in your new life !

Thanks so much for showing us what the health care system in Turkey is like Being in the United States I find life so insular I know nothing about the countries around the world and I have so many misconceptions I have started watching foreign made movies to try and get a real sense of what is going on around me I did not realize you had become an expat of Turkey! This was very helpful
