As one who has lived in social housing, the buildings are poor quality, made as cheaply as possible and will be crumbling in twenty to thirty years There seems to be no long term view so that housing is well built and sustainable for generations to come A bit if thinking outside the box when building them would be preferable

The problem with viewing everything in a racial paradigm is that you limit the conversation and competetiveness to just race As an Indian in Australia, I do not want to be considered for a role that is my ethnicity specific (Indian diaspora engagement, Parammatta Counseller or the High Commissioner to India as the Young Advocate pointed out) This way you're limiting me and telling me I'm only good at this Barry pointed it rightly that Australia has an Indian origin High Commissioner in NZ and that is what I call successful integration Also an Indian person going back to India as HOM would be good at his/her job but there'll be less exchange of ideas and culture A person like Barry can go to India and come back and tell others in his circle about the negatives and positives about India that goes beyond the traditional media narratives Things are never perfect, yes there's lot of racism but there's racism everywhere including India We need to acknowledge the advancements while hoping to improve further
