I think your take is spot on I will mention this though: as an S class owner myself, I had the pleasure of checking one of these out a few weeks ago (it was slightly newer and had more options) When I sat in the thing, what struck me in comparison to my car is the quality of the craftsmanship and the materials In my opinion, they are an another level versus my car For example, the foam in the seats feels like memory foam in comparison to my car The leather feels like a higher quality hide Etc… Anyways, that’s what really had me buzzing about this car

Looking at this now in 2022, it is instantly dated by the new Ghost When Rolls-Royce designed the new Ghost, they made it a goal to eliminate as many body shut lines as they could, and they've done that Now I look at this old model, I can't "unsee" those shutlines They're there, front and centre I think the new Ghost is absolutely superb inside and out, and if you get an opportunity to drive it, I'm wondering if that might change your opinion of the car

Great review man I got my love for them during my high school years as well A guys landscaping I took care of had about 20 of theses The real old school ones from the 30s and 50s I would always stay over to help him learn and restore theses bad ass coachesBeing a hot Rod and muscle car guy I took the upmost love and respect for them They are the best built vehicles ever made 🏁

I bought my RR a few years ago and it’s now 2021 In my experience if you keep up with the service when you have to it maintains itself pretty well brAnd I think the prices for parts or services are ok not to expensive since some of the parts are BMW brBut of course I would not buy the car if you can’t afford the maintenance
