“The physics behind how siphons work is not fully understood” —I LOVE learning the random things modern science STILL can’t actually explain Like explaining how BICYCLES work is still a complete mystery in physics despite DECADES of research & experiments searching for an answer of HOW BICYCLES SELF-STABLIZE? It’s a mystery so beautifully humbling to hear Comment from : LiveFreeOrDie2A |

So, NYC will NOT survive a civil war, like it has only a couple weeks to live after it starts Southern CA is similarly situated This is because their water systems are too easy to destroy or contaminate One day without protection and they will be destroyed Both systems rely on single canals that will fail to one 500 pound bomb Rome likely fell because of water system failures Comment from : m h |

I'm concerned about the safety and security of our Critical Infrastructure Systems from terrorism or even a nation-state taking action against the US without resorting to kinetic weapons Our Power Grid, Water Treatment plants, Banking, Communications, and GPS could be attacked and we could find our selves living in 1880 again Are we prepared? As someone who has lived in Ny state on the Saw Mill pkwy, my local water quality rating always is in the top 10 of 150 counties around me, which always felt awesome, and as a Bike RIder I have driven through all of these reservoirs, in summers and during the fall, it is a very beautiful place to be, also my cousin had to do a project on the water system for the city, where I learnt all of this interesting stuff It feels great hearing all the familiar places you have been to are actually a really big part of a larer system Great video and really well made, now I am going to share this with all of my family Comment from : Savi GG |

@7:11 your math and phrasing are incorrect Three times blonger than/b a 29 mile tunnel would be 29+3*29, or 116 miles I suspect what you mean is that the new 85 mile tunnel is 3 times bas long as/b the 29 mile tunnel, which is 3*29, or 87 But even that would be incorrect, since 85 is less than 87 Comment from : Michael Quinlan |
