Great video I saw some of these trends in the past 2022 I’ve been in Italy last summer and everything was base on QR codes and reservation! The problem is: you’re in the countryside and there’s no phone reception to scan the QR code or buy tickets! I had At&T and an Italian carrier and both had no reception brLast Christmas in Asheville, I made the mistake of choosing a last time at a Hilton hotel! They’re policy now is cleaning room every 4 days The problem is: they pet friendly on a carpet floor, there was not a towel change or replacements of kitchen garbage trash or toilet paper! This does not work for my family and from now on I’ll call ahead and ask about cleaning Or I just go ahead and book an entire house What’s the point to to on vacation and expect not having any service!brYour content is amazing! I used to be a professor for hospitals industry and I would give you a solid A+!

When the QR code trend first came out during covid era, my old phone's camera didn't automatically pull up those damn codes so I either had to get up and ask for a physical menu or wait for server to come back to ask for one

Thanks for your trends Indeed it's a very informative and vivid video Here we also have some of the trends you've mentioned However, we have some peculiarities due to the war First of all, just recovering like the rest of the world from covid is not accurate for us but the recovering from covid and war awaits for us Together with digital nomads, we have war nomads, people that had to move to more secured places within Ukraine or abroad (it's several millions), if we can call it tourism In winter 2023 our mountains (Carpathians) destination which is located in Western (more secured) side have raised the prices for about 30, at the same time their expenses grow They had to buy generators to keep customers with electricity and hot water (as now we have great issue with electricity in the whole country The trend of travelling by cars and trains is also about Ukraine Since the 24th of February there are no flights over Ukraine, sky remains unsafe for aircrafts and for all civilians who live here So we need to use our trains or cars more often Nevertheless, Ukrainian tourism is alive, and we hope that all will be good for Ukraine soon🇺🇦

Regarding Airport lounges my experience is that US lounges are vastly inferior to what I have experienced in Europe (Virgin Heathrow, Emirates Birmingham), I've tried JFK, Chicago and Newark and it was like chalk and cheese Even the Emirates lounges in Manila and Delhi were vastly superior This is odd one to me as usually America is top of the list when it comes to service levels and these sort of perks

We really would rather not have the room cleaned everyday As long as the hotel will offer clean towel, sheets soap etc when asked I also think consumers are creating travel inflation To many seam to be willing to pay anything to go on vacation Willing to accept lower service or no service at all So they should not be surprised that prices go up

What I hate most is the push for higher percentage tips all over Even when you pick up at the cashier a coffee In these times of less service I tend to think it’s time for less tipping Tipping I have alway thought was for great service, extra service, fast service, polite service Not a given “ here’s you coffee, clip the percentage for the top”

Great video -I’ve noticed some of these trends already In particular, cruising seems to have become increasingly popular for leisure travel and with digital nomads (They also often provide a great value for regional and intra-continental travel) brbrMy recent experience is also that luxury and ultra-luxury hotels are often fully booked weeks in advance, never mind the cost!

Thanks for the information The only cost effective way to fly from Brisbane to Tokyo was going indirectly via Singapore, double the flight time but halves the price I think direct flights being very expensive will be a trend!
