I agree no road would have been better, if people is happy without it, if they don't ask government to build a road, gov should not be invasive Also, I do not think, I want to be optimistic about it, just a new road will destroy everything Of course will be less isolated, but it is still very remote place, and the winter is protecting them anyway since that rocky road it will not be self-heated, it will be covered in snow and ice anyway ! Many thanks for this great work, the times are changing world is becoming a small place, rapid development of technology and infrastructure taking over, Zanaskar was a remote corner of Himalayas only visited by few people, now its connected by three roads, but still it has the old world charm, the beautiful Mountain landscapes and the simple way of living Comment from : Tanveer Badyari |

Gladly There are still hidden gems like these places in the Himalayas But not many years till the modern infrastructure and technology will touch and will make the changes in these beautiful places and people And the concern is genuine Nature and Humanity needs more people like them , not a robotic species that runs on concept of luxury, money and power Comment from : SHARING SHERPA |

If the modern education and modernisation in general leads to extinction of these beautiful cultures and traditional ways of life, we need to introspect if such education is really worth the price Comment from : Aman Thind |

Since Buddhism sprang in the West, there is hope for them to adapt I think that their monastery could become a beautiful place of exchange with both cultures and a privileged place for westerners to make serious retreats and the Tibetan monks could come to the West to learn how to adapt to it by the lesson learned in the west on how to do it! but both, the native and the westerners can build a way of life that can be sustainable, NOT materially but spiritually while living a modern mundane life in harmony with our convictions I became Buddhist in 1980 Comment from : Marie Hamel |

Couldnt UNESCO world heritage preservation get involved? I love the simplicity and peace of these people and their hidden sanctuary The traditions, Buddha teachings, culture, all need to stay so that future generations may have peace, joy, meaning, and happiness in their lives This is what will be lost This is repeated through each interview! Zanskar save it! I will pray as such for Zanskar🕊🫖🛎💌📯🕉🆘❗️🏳️🌈 Comment from : DiSign |

fantastic video of a magical placei've just come back from Zanskar valley and the magical Phugtal Monastrayi thought there was a 3 day trek to the Monastry, by the time i got there the road goes so far you only need to walk for 1 and a 1/2 hours to get to Phugtal monastry, a magical walk to a beautiful Monastrythe road from Kargil to Manali through Padum is soon to be tarmacked, the road from Padum to leh is taking shapeand the foundtions for the electric pylons are in placewho knows what the change will bring, but sadlly change is coming fast need to go back asap before all the magic of Phugtal is of legends Comment from : webbstar manoeuvres |

Can you tell what had become of Mr Liptzin? It was very reckless of him touching the adults on the shoulder and head area You not just meddle eventually with their energy, but most of the time you do not know of their practice, this can have grave consequences on his health You see after 9 minutes like the people born there hesitant to touch him back There is a reason most spiritual seekers do not get touched, like for example rabbis only get touched by their wife etc In some cases you get even hurt if you are going too directly to a begging monk on the side of the streets, especially if he feels threatened Tibet is a harsh country which you depicted mildly Comment from : Pa Mu |

@ Danny Bull Thumbs down, your video adds a potentially massive impact to these people and this place as there will be many who seek to go there 'before it is ruined' and thereby ruining it I encourage you to remove this documentary from the internet if you care about these people and their way of life, at all You are not preserving, you are helping it die faster Please Comment from : Jonas |

A great teacher once explaine that - All things must pass - the great Vehicle of Dharma the Buddha Gautama and all the subsequent Buddhas elucidated was only meant to flower for a short time, and we are in the end stages of the closing of that lotus, as the vehicle of dharma that was taught ceases to transmit and continue, a new vehicle or window of dharma, a new Lotus opensand it is already in full flower His Holiness the Dalai Lama Himself stated quite recently that now we have Srila Prabhupada and the Teachings of Lord Caitanya to follow, so He no longer has need to reincarnate So the wheel turns, the cycles of samsara perpetuate, but the window of opportunity of a new vehicle of dharma arises, as Lord Caitanya's Moon rises after this setting of Buddha Dharma's sun Hare Krsna! Who knows? Maybe at the other end of those astonishing JWST images, beings are looking back at us across the cosmos: maybe they can see you guys - a few Earthlings - once separated by time & distance, meeting again with full hearts This would be my evidence of why humanity isn't a lost causebrbrI don't know if we reincarnate, but I bet you guys will meet up in the afterlife and pick up where you left off in this shaky worldbrbrThank you for doing the kind of journalism that matters Comment from : MortalClown |
