Very nice presentation - on a recent visit of North Sikkim and other areas, apart from the majestic beauty of the Himalayas and the fantastic landscape what struck me is the population and the crowd, even at 17500 feet, one could not escape the effects of the 15 Bn population - in the coming years as the middle class of 750 M which did not have the luxury to travel and explore in the last decades , the danger of this huge population tourism will be a big risk to such tranquil places - I compare this to similar places in North America - where one just enjoys the nature without seeing a human being for days and within 100 square miles - India needs to sanctify these places from the huge crowds Comment from : sam roy |
