The problem of Lisbon is that it became a place impossible to live in for a normal and even a bit higher portuguese salary I lived there 15 years ago for 1 year, I worked as an intern with 1000€/month, rented a room, totally central, paid gym, fuel, restaurants etc, and I still had money left in the end of the month Now we would have to be a couple with at least 2k€ net each, to be able to afford a decent size and quality property, and a decent life Food is still relatively cheap though
