I wanted to mention that Spokane hosts not only Bloomsday, we also host Hoopfest one of the biggest 3 on 3 basketball tournaments in the US We also have over 70 lakes within 30 miles of the city To say we are a big basketball town with Gonzaga is an understatement! :) (also it is pronounced Gone- Zah- Ga) Go Zags! It was interesting to watch a video about Spokane as a native Thank you we do have a beautiful city here

I am a Spokane transplant from Texas I came here with the Air Force at the beginning of my career My husband and I moved approximately every two years for 22 years I have always been doing the math to choose where our permanent home should be, and Spokane was our favorite place to live, hands down! I chose Spokane because there are so many healthy, accessible activities for kids to participate in We’re a small city, but we have a few museums, a very active local music scene and venues that host the biggest names in the industry as well as theater, and a series of local festivals in the summer and fall that draw crowds, and all the hiking, climbing, skiing, snowshoeing, mountain biking, and trail running anyone could hope for Four seasons allow us to appreciate all nature has to offer There are some incredible schools and universities, world class medical facilities, access to an Air Force base and a VA hospital to make the most of our veteran’s benefits brbrI think it’s too simplistic to say, “addicts and homeless people have ruined the city” We have the same problems other small cities have, but for me personally the pros far outweigh the cons

Spokane also has the fourth highest auto theft in the country and a crime rate 82 higher than the national rate and the spokane river has a sewer plant that dumps into the spokane river ,You got one thing right the best part of spokane is northern idaho ,i have lived in spokane my whole life and those are the facts !

Downtown Spokane is so bad if you love your children do not take them anywhere near Washington let alone Spokane But if you do go as soon as you drive downtown you’ll be greeted with several drug addicts welcoming you to their city It’s littered with homeless, addicts and completely run down and depressing

I like Spokane, there are some beautiful parks and some great people there, but don't forget that there are some truly awful and horrifying places in Spokane One of the neighborhoods close to the courthouse is the lowest income neighborhood in the western United States There is an enormous amount of poverty and criminality and a lot of people come to the town out of multi-generational poverty in the surrounding rural areas, so it is a pretty rough place if you are in the wrong part of Spokane valley or close to the court house or up by the northern part of the town

Wow I lived in Spokane for 12 years starting in the late '80s, and it's hardly changed from what I see here I''ve always considered it my hometown, even though I only moved there after graduating in western WA It's an amazing city Soooo many parks! And perfect 4 seasons I've wanted to move back for yearsbr The "pacific NW weather" comment isn't very true though Yeah it rains, but nothing even close to western WA weather! The climate is pretty "average" in Spokane It gives you everything

I'm really regretting moving to Spokane Fine place to visit but not the place to live Horrible streets and sidewalks So many stores have closed Rent is to high for these little shacks Garbage everywhere on streets and in shopping center parking lots Homelessness is insane along with open drinking Cars are constantly being broken into and many house fires are done by bad actors

Every year is different Sometimes it doesn't snow until December and stops in January other years it starts in October and lasts through March The more snow and rain the better, because most summers are dry hot and Smokey But you never know what's going to happen 😁

I lived in Spokane for over 45 years You have about 80 to 90 percent of your facts correct but you are very wrong on a few things It never snows Spokane in September Earliest snow is around Halloween I hate Montana and never visit Montana Most years it stops snowing around January 31 I didn’t hear you talk about Fairchild Air Force base and the casino in airway heights None of my friends cared about wine in Spokane Unfortunately property crime and low lives are a big issue in Spokane Cars are often having their windows busted out in the spring time If you don’t believe me than fact check me In the summer time unfortunately we deal with one week to one month of wild fire smoke I disagree with you about Spokane having clean air I moved to Dallas three years ago in spring of 2020 I actually can breathe without choking on smoke especially in the winter months Most years it starts snowing after December 10 th too January 31 but we don’t get spring or longer days until march February is cold and not snowing It is once every 10 years we get weird snow in the spring time and longer winter You must have visited Spokane in 2008 or in a really bad year for winter
