Ok but you had to explain that who steal your stuff is not us italians, it's sad to say but it's emigrants from poor countries who steal I don't care if italian people gonna hate me for this because "we have to empathize with them" (no thanks, if you want to know more search for it) but for real don't think that is all italians stealing from you, it's other strangersbrI'm saying this because all the people who complained about this said "italians stole my" Non credo proprio, inquire about this before you come here Comment from : Letizia Paratore |

I think I only took the subway and the bus only once each while I was in Rome for three weeks Honestly it's better walking around, which also helps you consume more food and gelato since you're walking like 20k steps every day and burning a decent amount of calories Comment from : Evan Lee |

Tourist "mistake" no 001 is: Stop throwing your thrash on the streets of Rome (or anywhere!) The place is filthy with litter strewn everywhere especially in the tourist spots/routes I happened to look into the drain in front of the Pantheon and it's full of litter On to the Vatican (not technically in Rome) You'd expect people to pay extra respect in this place but no, it too (St Peter's Square) has noticeable litter all over Head to the wide staircases opposite the Vatican Museums' entrance and see the horror What is wrong with some of these tourists? Comment from : Raul Selva |
|
I was there just 3 weeks ago and loved the city, should have stayed longer I do wish however that I had not yielded to pressure from my relatives to visit touristy places like Trevi and the Vatican Away from these areas you get to experience the real vibe of the city, its neighborhoods and its charming people Villa Borghese for example is easily worth 2 visits, and I should have visited more gardens and neighbourhoods as well Taking a photo in front of a fountain alongside 100,000 other people is not my idea of a great trip Comment from : Pritish Appadoo |
|

You got to be careful when you go there Leave your passport at the hotel It's a big hassle if you lose it or is stolen Be careful when you get on and off the subway, that's a good place for them to pick your pocket 2:48 Whenever some "friendly person" comes up to you be on high alert, get away from the person Don't talk to them It's always a scam of some sort
brDo not put your wallet in your back pocket always the front

One to watch out for; long bus ride out to the catacombs on the day of your flight home! Luckily not us but the day we visited them we walked back to the bus route we were met with a vast queue at the bus stop, reason being a bus drivers strike called at short notice, got talking to a couple in a total panic as their flight was later that afternoon, luckily we were able to secure and share a taxi but they were few and far between in the circumstances , got out at the Pyramid and walked from there to our hotel Ariston Comment from : john du Heaume |
