I too live on Vancouver Island, and I, too, cringe at the mispronunciations…but…I’m glad that this video offering covered only about 15-20 of the Island, which is good Tofino is now the home/visit site of the rich and famous, and prices for food and accommodation have skyrocketed As a result, most locals will just wish you’d stay away…to the extent that you may be surprised by the depth of the antipathy with which you are (not) greeted And aside from a few business-oriented features like whale watching services, which will love charging you an arm and both legs for a couple of wet, rough-seas hours of hoping to catch site of a humpback or Orca, most will NOT be glad to see you Myself included Please stay home

That isn't even half way up the Island The Strathcona National Park is definitely one of the most breathtakingly beautiful places on the Island And you cannot talk about places to see on the Island without mentioning the experience of watching the orca rub on the beach by the shore in Robson Bight Amazing!!!
