This is so true, so I just moved last month after 8years of the taxes struggle now I regret it, I will be moving back to enjoy good roads, beautiful amenities and vicinities, ready to pay for them! You will always pay taxes in any state anyway Virginia is the best!!!!

Virginia is over rated and over PRICED They tax you on everything Restaurants taxes , grocery taxes,car taxes , gasoline taxes Property taxes I live there I know That's why I moved away from away from Virginia They should change Virginia state name to state of taxes That's my opinion Please let me know what you think Have a nice day 👏🏼👍

Lifelong Virginia resident here It's called a personal property tax; not a car tax If you own any of these you will get a tax bill: car, truck, suv, motorcycle, rv, mobile home, house, boat, and some others that I don't recall right nowbrbrEvery state gets their money by taxes The politicians/government will always make sure they get your money (one way or another)

I would not move to Virginia! I moved here from Pennsylvania and I cannot believe the cost of just housing Unbelievable!! You better have a good, solid job offer and a first class education Otherwise Don't move to Virginia! That's my advice And the personal property taxes! You buy a new vehicle, pay out the nose! Allthis and it's way too hot in July and August, you can't go outside Not very amenable to raising children!!!

Were moving from across the border in nc Weve found a few nice houses for sale in portsmouth Theyre in good areas My biggest worry there is schooling for our 9yo daughter We may see about private school but were just middle class chumps lol Growing up on the outer banks I've spent a lot of yime in va Ive wanted to move there for years
