I absolutely love the combination of vibes here The style is masterfully reminiscent of Lovecraft and co and it's a fun just picking out the references (not another Delapore!) But you can also very much tell it was written today There seems to be something very quitessentially Gen-Z/Millennial about the horror trope of returning to a once cozy and welcoming but now creepy and decaying family/childhood setting But the whole dated English resort angle also gives it some unmistakable local colour Had me thinking of Fawlty Towers or every vacation episode every in a 70s-80s British sitcom Comment from : Ody EA |
