Oops! Cesky Krumlov is not spelled with a "Cz" like Czech Republic It is a quite nice place although normally during tourist season a bit crowded However, I was there earlier this week and it was nearly empty 90+ just Czechs, probably locals, hanging out in some outdoor cafes And for about the next 3-4 weeks, Czech covid numbers are quite low, less than 1/10 of Greece That will change The Czechs are unbelievably sloppy about covid So go see Cesky Krumlov in August 2021, the earlier the better You could almost have the place to yourself Comment from : Briant Lougan |

You´ve started about Karlovy Vary and showed Loket nearby Ooops! brThere is much more to see in Czechia Try Tabor (it has very special history) and you can go to Jindřichův Hradec (castle and town around a pond/lake), spa town Třeboň (lake area, castle, spas and Biospheric reservation of Unesco), České Budějovice and Hluboká nad Vltavou (beautiful castle), before you end in Český Krumlov South Bohemia is full of gems to see, sometimes very special and small (Červená Lhota chateau, reneissance town of Slavonice) In South Moravia I would recommend Znojmo (churches and wine), Třebíč (especialy the Jewish quater - UNESCO) and Punkevní jeskyně & Macocha (caves with deep river and abyss enwikipediaorg/wiki/Macocha_Gorge) Comment from : Drakulka CZ |

If I may offer one more tip/ one more interesting spot: In Northern Morava there is a region called 'Valassko' It's actually inofficially and sort of jokingly called The Wallachian Kingdom In the heart of this 'kingdom' there is a small town called Roznov pod Radhostem It's located in the very heart of the Beskydy Mountains Right in the centre of this small town, there is the largest and oldest Outdoor Museum in Central Europe It's a huge 3-part complex consisting of the Wallachian wooden Town, Wallachian Village, and the Mill Valley Especially in spring, summer and early autumn when the weather is good, this place is absolutely magical It looks like 17th century fairytale village The whole region also keeps its traditions and old customs alive and on specific days you can see all that in the museum, where you can also try all sorts of traditional Wallachian dishes Part of the museum complex is also the nearby mountain of Radhost with its very unique houses, the statue of the pagan god Radegast and a chapel on the very top of the mountain that constitute a well-known pilgrim place In Czech Republic, everyone knows Roznov pod Radhostem , its museum and the mountain of Radhost as it's a very popular tourist spot That's why I'm surprised how completely unknown this place seems to be among foreigners When it comes to transportation, there is the Valassky Express train that drives from Prague directly to the town of Valasske Mezirici From there, it's only a 15 minute ride with a local train or a bus to Roznov pod Radhostem I myself come from this region (I was born in Valasske Mezirici, my hometown is Roznov p Radhostem), so if anyone has any questions about this region, let me know Comment from : Moravian Wallachia |
