This as campaign was created by Scott Morrison, the current prime minister it is widely regarded as being a collosal failure and is to this day held up as an example of what not to do when it was aired, tourism from every country it was shown to went down the only countries where it rose were the places the ad was not displayed an yet now the man who came up with that idea is the prime minister

Aside from the natural wonders and indigenous culture, there is really nothing unique about Australia Our political system, laws, education and lifestyles are virtually identical to those of America and Europe For all the talk of multiculturalism, the majority of Australian are still of European descent For that reason, any tourism campaign needs to focus on the natural wonders and indigenous culture

"We saved you a spot on the beach" - Bondi was packed and so were the surrounding beaches Funny enough there was a baby shark in the pool Roos were still on the green I had to wait for the taxi not the taxi wait for me In arrived in the morning so breakfast was about to be served There were no fireworks for me They made a mistake in the routine too So although I experienced the complete opposite of this campaign, Australia is still a wonderful place and look forward to returning

Manly beach in Sydney was a bit scarey, because it had a shark enclosure around the beach and you could see jellyfish in the water, but otherwise Sydney is awesome and fun - very busy - like the New York of Australia, Queensland is great for tropical weather (just don't go there right now - the place has been destroyed by a hurricane), Darwin is perfect South Australia - wineries are great, beaches are great Tasmania - lots of history, nature and it snows in winter

Funniest thing I've ever been asked as an Australian is "do you keep kangaroos as pets?" by an American over the internet I said "no, they're native animals" Oh, and the best question was "can you see through the sea water? Is it clear?" Yes, our waters are pristine just watch out for the jellyfish in queensland waters, and the sharks in SA waters (although, there's not that many!)

We grow lots of fruits and nuts 'cause we have such a diverse climate We also make great cheeses and we are very much into beer! Australia has more ski slopes than Switzerland We have floodplains, wetlands, marshes, mangroves and we have water holes, which are more beautiful than dumb lakes! :P Surrounded by gum trees and wild flowers set in a vista of amber and red cliffs Kakadu national park is the size of Israel and it is so rich and diverse in life it was up for running as one of the 7 natural wonders of the world, but that wouldn't be fair 'cause our barrier reef is already one of them!
