That is so interesting that James does those volume swells with the knob on his guitar rather than a volume pedal You get more control of it and free up your other hand using a volume swell pedal I think most wah pedals have a volume mode But this is also the guy that used to play ieverything/i with downstrokes so I guess it shouldn't surprise me hes doing it the hard way
