I am a citizen of Latvia At the end of this year I am going to visit Thailand My arrival in Bangkok will be on January 12, 2023, and the flight back from Bangkok to Latvia will be on February 9, 2024 Also, I am going to visit Malaysia during this period My flight from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur will be on January 6, 2024, and on January 14, 2024 I will fly back to Bangkok from Kuala Lumpur Please tell me, do I need to apply for a Thai visa for this trip? #1: It's called "Tourist Visa" because (of course) it is a "visa" br#2: Not "free" at all The border run trip$ you speak of can be pricey Also many "boarder run" drivers do "yaba"(Thai speed drug) in order to drive to the border and back in the same day Regardless, they will drive like complete sh!t and risk lives a minimum of 3 times during the full trip br#3: ?!?"until you get flagged"?!? 😳 And possibly get put on Thai Immigration black list restricting entry into Thailand for 2 years(hope you've got a plan for that) You will need very good friends inside Thailand so they can ship all your belongings to you where ever you end up after not getting back into Thailandbrjust sayin' But hey, "you do you" 👍 Comment from : Santi Sabai Life |

Unless you have a long term 1 year visa or a Elite Visa you are only allowed to stay Thailand no more than 180 days per year If you do 179 days and re-enter Thailand you will be locked up simple I have had it happen to a friend and I had to bail him out and if you cannot get a flight out by 00:00 you will be in prison for minimum of 2 months until you can get a flight back home Do not listen to this woman Comment from : gordon duncan |

Privjet Natalija, the rule of max 2 times in 1 year of the tourist visa run (45+30 days, 45+30 days) is not mandatory, indeed it's a personal decision of the Thai border police; they can let you in 4 times with this method, or refuse the entrance just after the 2nd entry Anyway I'll come to Phuket soon, interested to play tennis against Russians and Brittons :-) Comment from : A M |
