Ah, we know La Rochelle well We live just east of Niort but spend so much time thereYes the real estate bris beyond our pay grade too but we bought & keep a 4 berth boat in the marina (Les Mnimes) an easy walk or water taxi ride to the Vieux Port, so we stay several days at a time
