Overall dental treatment in Thailand is of a very high standard comparable to the west However now rich families can send their kids to study dentistry at private university I can confirm that these graduates do not compare with those graduates from government universities You have been warned Comment from : AmazingThailand |

Dr Charles Hoffe a Canadian MD stated The spike protein in the 'injection' sticks to and embeds in the capillary endothelium, walls Part of the spike protrudes ínto the vessel slowing blood flow, and indicating injury, both of which lead to IRREVERSIBLE and incurable blood clots These clots are too small to show up on a scan Their signs are headache, nausea, breathlessness and dizziness The 62 who will get this from the 'injection', will have blood pressure rise from lung blockages SADLY from this, the heart will fail in 3 years! Thailand great for med travel? Well sadly Thailand follows the UK's 'no cancer cure allowed mania, that based on the 1939 UK Cancer Act, that FORBIDS the publication of any cancer cure, making it illegal for a doc to even mention such Illegal if it's not 'officially' published in a Med J Keeping in mind that Canadian H R Clark, PhD ND carries our over 1/2 million n reproducible, so scientifically valid bio-resonance tests, to precisely identified the specific causative bacteria, parasites, viruses, dyes, heavy metals, molds, radioactive compounds, food allergens, asbestos etc and traced their pathways Interrupting any/some of these known pathways, with the at least one dozen cancer cures, stops the malignancy Dr Clark’s works are only allowed to be privately published Comment from : Tommaso Turek |

Medical care is completely a function of cost Finite resources and ever-increasingly expensive procedures How much to, say, extend someone's life by six months? How much of the resources does the obese, smoker who have never exercised a day in his life, get to hog? Thailand's private health care is available for the rich, even though it costs less than western care Does that make it good? No it makes it a cheaper option for a good standard, although I have seen a bunch of disastrous scars from the ubiquitous boob jobs and completely failed silicone nose implants Locals in Isaan think the health care in rural hospitals is to be avoided at all costs, in my experience of knowing maybe two dozen Thais now living in the US Given Thai people's almost complete lack of forward planning (that Buddhist worldview again) and unwillingness to buy insurance Insurance is not a new concept - it forward paying the care you will need a bit at a time It has been around since the East India Company Thais don't budget The concept of sanook predominates Comment from : Alexander Mayer |
I was teaching as a visiting professor at Ramkamphaeng U in 2019 and tore my achilles I went to a private hospital and received excellent care with an MRI, diagnosis and treatment The entire bill was less than $1K About a quarter of what it would have been here in the US Comment from : Bruce Williams |

Top show thanks guys! Comment from : Thai’d up Again! |

I am truly agreeing with medical and dental in Thailand is one of the best , Comment from : sukanya mckeen |
Looking at some of the comments on here, they haven't got any clue just how good the Thai Hospital service is here In the UK you're lucky to get a Dentist and if you do it's too expensive For those in the UK, is it still 4 to 6 hours waiting time at the Accident & Emergency unit Comment from : Robert Reynolds |
The top Thai hospitals are excellent and should be compared to private UK hospitals, not the NHS; in that respect, they have similar equipment and are good value The NHS provides a great free service It is far from perfect and is severely constrained as it is a political football and beyond criticism Most people do get good treatment from the NHS, but there are also plenty who don't Sadly, and this is from experience, it is inefficient and wasteful; for that blame the politicians, who are unable to be truthful and don't allow it to be spoken about in any terms other than irreverence Comment from : ST |
What Mike said about the NHS is the same here in Canada there is no private health care at the moment Companies in canada offer Medical insurance to their workers but you cant use in the HospitalbrOne area that Thailand can start to develop is Senior Residential Care Facility it cost an arm and a leg in Canada and its run horribly Comment from : CA1954 |
Mike I would like to know which company you are associated with for insurance, is that all insurance or health insurance only Thanks John Comment from : john upahad |
This program was a good one Thanks jay and Mike I do use bamrungrad and very satisfied with the quality of treatment and service I have a good medical insurance from the USA and that helps, though the cost in Thailand is very affordable Comment from : topu rahman |

The NHS is simply a waste of time Due to the care of my mother myself and brother had a lot to do with the system There are many medical care systems around Europe and I agree also Thailand that are better than NHS brIs one of the reasons I would not want to return to the UK Comment from : Brian |

The dentist I use here in Isaan country is better equipped, modern and cleaner than my home country in Oz and at half the price Keep in mind, it took me three attempts to find a good dental clinic, some here are a bit doggy Comment from : MadMax |
Which hospitals are the best for healthcare and plastic surgery And which ones are the worst? Seems like you are just comparing them all as excellent There must be good and bad Comment from : Lesbian Alien |

Waan, you need to give Mike some simple Thai word pronunciation lessons I'm going to miss Mike next week, I love is very clear and forthright opinions on different issues Comment from : Adam Hend |
Yes guys, private hospitals are mostly very good and services offered are very good and fast, however at a premium price Considering your audience is mainly retired expats, many are at an age where private health insurance is out of reach From first hand experience with private health insurance it is not worth engaging unless you have money to burn For me at 69 now health insurance would be about 130-140,000B per year even with a large no claim bonus The following years would go up by about 20-25,000B annually Also, the fine print in contracts is like a 'get out of jail free card' for insurers I have looked at the bigger picture and found it is better put a (Mil) in the bank for rainy days Comment from : MadMax |
I have used both systems and I prefer my American health insurance I was in the state hospital with a very bad infection and they didn't have enough room in the air conditioned ward so along with about 40 other Thai people we had beds on the balcony It was in August I had one of the air-conditioning compressors right next to my bed It had to be the worst 3 days I ever had in Thailand brbrI have had two surgeries at Bangkok Hospital and I must say that by far I would put them up against any Hospital I have ever been in in America brbrThe good thing is my health insurance, Blue Cross Blue Shield, in America has contracts with hospitals all over the world and Bangkok Hospital is one of them I only have to pay 15 percent of the bill Comment from : The Adventures of Brock in Thailand |
Lot of Chinese come for reproductive medicine Comment from : Stephan Trommsdorf |
The medical care here even in the general hospital is superb, you feel like the medical staff care Comment from : MY LIFE IN THAILAND |

Medical tourism for humans or Water Buffalo's Thailandbrmedical field is more qualified treatment for Water Buffaloes Elephants and Monkeys Comment from : Jason Wilson |
Absolutely agree with you Mike about the slowness to have specialist treatment Here in Thailand if you break a Rib for instance you will be x-rayed unlike the UK, if you need a scan in UK you wait months but in Thailand it happens same day you go in Comment from : MY LIFE IN THAILAND |
I’d like to see the stats showing 20 of Brits work for the NHS 30 million adults work in the UK in 2021, NHS is around 12 - 15 million which is 5 Comment from : Pedro Amoso |
I think you should put a disclaimer that this is your subjective opinion on medical tourism in Thailand and not from a certified healthcare professional I have knowledge of a range of healthcare systems, and an area that people fail to mention is why the cost of healthcare is lower One reason is the medical institutions pay much less for medical liability insurance The lack of medical malpractice laws and protection in Thailand is what I would say is the biggest con of the system In contrary, the US costs for physician liability insurance is through the roof Comment from : Guamiedinho |
It's not always cheaper, I got some quotes for Stem Cell therapy on my right knee and they were basically the same price as getting it done here in Sydney, Australia, without the travel costs Maybe if I was Thai I could track down a cheaper price, but I would still have to add on the cost of getting to back Thailand Comment from : Adam Hend |
You guys are having a laugh, the medical system in Thailand is brillant if you have the money but the poor average Thai dies a horrible death Tell it straight will you Comment from : Terence Graham |
I understand that in 2019 the thai government authorized all clinics and hospital to double charge foreigners brbrWhat is true about it? brbrI had a procedure done in BKK butbrI had to pay out of pocket brI must return to pull the screws out of my ankle It has been almost two years I’m late due to Covid19 brI’m afraid I won’t be able to afford it anymore in my thai hospital or with my thai surgeon Comment from : Luis Rodriguez |

Europeans who not have a very good insurance should get treatment in their home countries for free Insurance companies do their utmost to not pay I and many other have experienced to be STUCK with the entire bill because insurance company refuse to pay because you had hypertension when you got to the hospitals Sure, Thai hospitals is good, but YOU have to pay for it Americans others countries with free health care can save Comment from : L Hansson |
I have had excellent care in the Thai medical system My one time in an emergency room in Chiang Mai the care was as good as what I have received in the US Access is much easier and of course the cost of care is much cheaper My dental care here is superior to what I had in the US I've even been impressed with the doctors and care in the little medical clinics in Bangkok and the countryside My Thai insurance is cheaper than my US insurance but I have never had to make a claim so I don't really know how good it really is Comment from : Martin P |
If you don't have Private health insurance living in Thailand ,, it would be like playing Russian Roulette 🙄 Comment from : Stevew Wilson |
As a US Expat I have come to Thailand several times for more detailed annual health checks, cardiologists, and knee replacement surgery at a more reasonable prices The health care was one one several reasons I picked Thailand as a retirement location Comment from : Daniel McKinnon |
Medical insurance is very reasonable compared to the west 35 million baht of coverage for 30k baht a year Comment from : Big Hoss |
