Born and raised there We had a lake cottage my teenage years close to home and spent the summers there I hate cold weather I still have relatives in the twin city area The state "BIRD" is the mosquito and there are two seasons in MN winter and road repairbr I moved to the tropics for a while and make my home in the southeastern US 3 hours to the beach and 3 hours to the mountains A nice place to grow up if you like snow and cold weather, but not for me

just came back from international falls (voyageurs national park) where we saw aurora borealis (northern lights)! i was amazed most people living there have never seen it i like the thousand lakes visited some 5 lake parks there it was so easy to catch northern pike there too (even in early September, using crankbaits)!

Been in Minnesota now 23 years and very glad I made the decision to move here So many beautiful things to see and do especially as you go up north in Duluth and further near Lake Superior I love the lakes everywhere you go As for foodgreat local restaurants are plentiful It's a very beautiful state and one I wish I grew up living in I'm very happy here
