That 20 valve black top engine is not design to be turbo,better you had port and polish the head and cut the cams to about 276 degree change the muffler system ect and your car would run even better

I have 2 of these! One all original and one with a 2002 Corolla front end with the Touring 5th door, have swapped it to 5 lugs both and disc brakes in the back, am looking to turbo one seeing this inspires me to achieve

better he had use the vw 20vslve piston than the 8valve compression going to drop too low not even need the myth kit should be able to drop 30psi on that piston without an issue

You have a valve clearance problem whenever you made a Volkswagen with a toyota you are going to always have engine problems second he needs to degree that engine so that you can check valve travel after swapping out pistons

Your valves are too long or the pistons are too tall so to fix your problem you need to make space for the valve by modifying dem Volkswagen pistons problem solve

Volkswagen pistons now that is your problem why the valve keep hitting the pistons on the compression stroke, you will always have engine problems with those Volkswagen pistons in a Toyota engine those piston was not design for a Toyota
