Weird I moved to Washington in 2018, intending to stay there I couldn't get out of there fast enough, despite their generous state income tax (none whatsoever) Was it the insanely high real estate costs? Was it the traffic that just never ever ends? So I moved in 2019 To Oregon Much happier

As someone who was born, raised and still resides in Florida it is not that amazing This place will always be my home But I'm being pushed out It's way too expensive to live here with what companies are paying and its only the beginning I'm making plans to move out of this state due to how up to my neck I am with financial stress Rent is unbelievable unless you want to live in complete rural areas in North Florida The wages just don't match rent prices

The information on FL is definitely inaccurate/skewed I currently live in FL Thankfully, we bought before covid because as of today the same 1,200SF house we bought for 140k is valued at nearly 300k Rent in our community averages $2,500-$3,000 and the cost to live is ridiculously high As for the 500k increase in jobs in 2021, that's due to the fact most people lost jobs in 2020 due to covid as FL has a high rate of jobs in the Hospitality industry such as hotels, theme parks etc Which were all forced to shut down and let people go Now with the state lifting restrictions in 2021, of course those jobs were filled again (skewed data) My wife also works in schools and FL is ranked amongst the worst for K-12 education and teacher pay, not to mention all of the newly added restrictions & laws in place now making things that much more difficult for schools brbrAs for overall income, my wife and I earn roughly $160k/yr which is considered high with the average household income for FL in 2021 was $61k Sadly, a 6 figure household holds no wait in FL anymore and you're better off taking a pay cut to move to another State such as MA, IL, PA where the housing market isn't ridiculously high, people are friendly and job market doesn't seem impossible to land the job you want brbrOverall, it was great info in the video, but from someone in FL, I would recommend fact-checking as much as possible as well as doing your own research and see if the state/city you're looking at is right for you

I have been living in WA state for past 8 years (coming from Dallas Texas) I love WA PPL say it is expensive and complain about the weather But guess what? It is about 15 to 20 cheaper than CA And weather wise, I perfer a bit of drizzle and cloud over hot unbearable sunny days Plus there are a ton of work opportunity and wages are much higher than most states YESI agree that the only downside is homeless problems and crime rate rising

As an Idahoan I can confirm a lot of these facts, HOWEVER!!!! Despite it being one of the best, it’s also the most boring state EVER!!! the cost of housing is the second fastest growing in the US, with the average cost of a house being 250k in 2019, $373k in 2021, and is as of April 2023 is $448k The job availability may be higher than most other States, BUT NOT for disabled and elderly people I have ADHD, ADD, ASD, and FLLI (Frontal lobe learning impairment), and NO ONE wants me to work for them Literally as soon I mention my autism and ADHD, every employer I’ve interviewed with has LITERALLY kicked me out of the door actually yelling “WE DON’T HIRE DISABLED PEOPLE!!!” On top of that it’s a state full of Christian nationalists and white supremacists, so black, LGBTQ+, and every other minority gets treated just as badly as a lot of other states brbrSo yeah, Idaho may be good, but ONLY at face value

This is not too accurate for FL The changes in education are dramatic & negative As a former FL resident & graduate of USF graduate school; I loved it and my education was dynamic and excellent That has changed, sadly Public elementary/HS school education is on a downward spiral Negative outcomes in healthcare, housing costs, and insurance are also a problem for most Floridians, it is different for wealthier retirees and snowbirds

My son is paying 1700 for a very small apartment and that was the cheapest he could find Everything here is way to high I’ve lived in NH for the last 25 years and although our mortgage is finally payed off, everything from taxes to utilities is really high and just keeps going up It’s really sad as we’re now thinking about moving
