It's all about assimilation Don't go if you think the world will change to suit you You must change to blend in The same people who complain about the "islanders" and the ones who complain about the immigrants to the US that refuse to assimilate If you can let go of your old life (the one you are unhappy with) and embrace your new life and new friends all will be well Comment from : Cant_Start A_Fire |

I’m from the Caribbean I love my home island of Saint Thomas Virgin Islands but I always tell people I no going there to visit be careful there is Crime, and Hurricanes if you go between June- November be careful, it may look like Paradise to the outskirts and outsiders but it has its share of problems But the world isn’t safe anymore just use good judgment be vigilant and alert about your surroundings Do your research before going to visit the Caribbean and my beautiful island It all plays down to researching period Comment from : Sandra Williams |

Puerto Rico? Not for the foreseeable future Crime, economic problems, electrical and water infrastructure problems They still haven't recovered from hurricane Maria Belize? Amazing buuuuuut as much as I love it, you have Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua in your backyard Major economic strife coupled with drug cartels and their shipping routes If there's a guerrilla rebellion problem, like many times in the past, no government superpower is coming to help you Comment from : Bill Cranston |

Retiring in 20 years? Due to inflation, you may need upwards of $26 million to maintain your existing lifestyle, with the ongoing effects of high inflation, lower forecasted stock market returns, and stagnant wages, achieving a secure early retirement could be more challenging than ever before Comment from : Forest Marcarthur |
As soon as you started talking about Puerto Rico your analysis became flawed & therefore I must doubt the rest of your analysis Puerto Rico can be quite expensive to live in Taxes are are extremely high, the cost of food is quite high, electricity is extremely high Just about everything is very expensive The cheapest thing about PR is rent Comment from : Victor Ramos |

I don’t know where you are getting your information from but DR or PR are not Cheap The cost of living on these islands are equal to or above that of the US Food prices are higher than in the US Automobile’s are twice as expensive as in the US due to import duties The average cost for a pineapple in PR is $5-600 as opposed to $1 79 here in Florida I challenge you to attempt to live on any of these Islands for $1500 per month Your video is misleading and outdated due to the current rate of inflation Comment from : Jose Antonio Ayala |

😊😺👍I am so PROUD you listed GRENADA 🌄as a top retirement destination! I was born there! It's certainly safe and beautiful hardly any crime but it is NOT cheap LOL My brother also lives in BARBADOS Another EXPENSIVE place so is Curacao super pricey So those 3 on the list has much higher living expenses especially RENT And Dominica is a beautiful small island but not safe any more It's now riddled with crime and makes the top 10 for the most dangerous in the Caribbean Anyways good video💪! Comment from : Papi Stan |
You forgot to mention the Bay islands off the coast of Honduras, English is the language spoken by most islanders with Spanish becoming more current, I have a house on the beach, and there are many expats from us, Canada and Europe Regular flights from many cities in the US and Canada, and 2 cruise ship portsbrRoatan is the largest, with Utila and guanaja, and many smaller islands and cays, all surrounded by the 2nd largest reef, depending on your income you can still find affordable houses And the standard of living is good, we also have regular flights to Belize with a historical connection Come visit us! Comment from : Josef Trejo |
