It's nice that we get to live a time where we can restore art hand crafted to perfection by talented artists of long gone eras Future art restorers will have to deal with rainbow color vomits and diarrhea splat on canvas, geometry shapes of no meaning, and mouldy bananas taped to a wall

Being a fine artist, I enjoyed watching this restoration Unfortunately, discoloration due to years of dirt, dust and grime buildup is one of the downsides with a medium like oil paint I've always used pastels, which contain the same pigments as oil and is applied dry and it never discolors or needs expensive restoration like this I'd also recommend showing a side by side before and after of the painting

have been oil painting for some 60 years, only the last decade or so since quitting smoking has revealed the serious damage done to inner organs by breathing the fumes of turpentine nose, throat and chest developed a bronchial type discomfort and burning sensation since being operated and without cigarettes, AND wearing a respirator with ceiling fan running in confined spaces, i'm feeling much betterbrremember bob ross and how he would dip his large brushes in turp, shake it off to the side, and head to his palette the man was dead at 52, and i've since been concerned about his TV studio cohorts take care!
