Ford fiesta, chevy sparks suck they break down at 40,000 miles hyundai is very reliable I have a 2017 accent, i put 57,000 miles already Keep maintenance as recomended and you should not have any problems

I don't think I could deal with that B-Pillar At 6'4" I generally need to put the seat all the way back, meaning the B-pillar would get in my way when I'm getting in and out

I like the 20017 Kio Rio sedan It feels and looks like a more high end carThe 6 speed is pretty fun With the 18's out, they are selling for pennies in base form I don't really care about Navi and such, I have a Garmin I will look into aftermarket Blue Tooth options I like that I can go with manual windows and less stuff to fail Does the Rio handle better than Accent? I thought it handled fantastic I wonder about adding Cruise, maybe getting a new wheel one day with it and plug it in?

Great review It's definitely a car that's worth buying It's not just the value It's the build quality and overall dynamics The fuel economy is pretty good The power it delivers is very usable and even better with the manual transmission It's also a very safe car The 2018 model will be out soon and the remaining 2017's will just be given away - anywhere from $10-$14k This is an excellent car that many should look into Any time you know people who have put 100k miles on it and had zero issues that's a good sign Also if you know people who have been in an accident in one and were untouched it will really surprise you how safe and solid this car is In effect for the real world uses it's a better car than a Ford Focus even though it's a class different It's also about as stable as a 2012-2016 Subaru Legacy and just as quiet

The seats are REALLY uncomfortable so don't plan on any long trips After 20 minutes my back was killing me And I had to bring it back for repair issues the day after I bought it at 37,000 miles I totally regret this purchase Now I'm stuck with it for 6 years Ugh

1st contact with service dept Results Rear deck to be replaced, they will call when it comes in OK, that's good The dealer said that the steering is fine, however it does drift at highway speed They said that's normal for the Electric Power Steering They added that many owners complain about this One comment was "You do get used to it" Sent comments back to dealer, waiting for response They said in email that they would re contact me in 48 hours No they have no yet contacted me

2 days old and noted that the back deck, where the third tail light is sticky to touch and yes its sitting in the sun And no nothing spilled there Have made an appointment with service dept, we'll see what happens tomorrow

Alex, your thorough and comprehensive reviews are terrific Thanks! I've got a 6-spd manual GLS (Sport in USA) Accent and Alex's review is accurate I average above rated fuel economy in spring-fall [around 8L/100km] and below [9-95L/100km] in winter While standard HP is class leading, acceleration off the line feels very slow In addition, you definitely have to downshift to 4th at high speeds for passing power However, I never feel underpowered in this vehicle With 16 inch wheels, road noise could certainly be quieter and the ride can be jarring at times That said, Saskatchewan roads are awful The standard 6-speaker stereo sounds good, cargo and passenger room is very close if not best in class Overall, you do get a lot for your money

In canada, we will be getting the new mazda 2 in hatchback form only in mazda dealerships and we will get the scion iA, however, its name will be the Yaris sedan with the Toyota symbol and not the Scion logo

Alex, I am a little confused by the acceleration numbers on these 'high' horsepower B class cars With 130 hp this Accent should be several seconds faster to 60 than the 105 hp Yaris or Scazda iA Where does all that extra power go?

My first car was an accent from 10 years ago It's amazing how far it has come 12 hour drives to and from college without cruise control at 6'4" is not fun I wouldn't spend over 2 grand on a car without cruise control

Of course you know I'll always take the hatch over the sedan any day I used to own a 2010 Hyundai Accent SE hatch a while back, and I loved it for the four years I had it Haven't driven the 2012-15 Accent yet, but I can tell you a few things about it On the GLS sedan Accent, you can get cruise control with the Popular Equipment Package for about $600 I don't know how often Hyundai sells that package, but considering I see most of the sedan models without it, I'm betting that package would be hard to come by Really, cruise control comes standard on the Sport hatch trim (one of the reasons I went with the similar SE trim on my old 2010) If you were going to recommend the GLS sedan, I would say check with your dealer to see if they can get one with the both Popular Equipment package ($600) and the Style Package ($800) which will practically turn it into a sedan version of the Sport hatch (sans the sunroof which is only on the Sport trim)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but trunk is so big because it has no spare tire or even designated place for spare brbrMany manufactures ditch spare tires and I don't think it's a good thing I cut side wall once and if not for spare tire, repair would cost me a lot more than one used tire Friend of mine had 1 inch hole in tire and repair foam did not work at allbrAlex, I think it would be very useful to mention if car comes with spare tire or not Thank you for great review as always

No brainer Accent or a used Fit? Accent or Tacoma?
