A few words from user CaMbrello who attended this infamous show, giving a bit more clarity as to what you'll see at the end of the above video :brbr" this show has unfortunately gone down in Madonna history as a letdown and a source of bad publicity to this day, notwithstanding the quality of the show itself (the setlist was great and Madonna was in top shape) But instead of a full 2-hours show from the MDNA World Tour, as advertised by M's staff and tour promoter, fans were treated (or "gifted", as Madonna put it, although gifts usually don't fare between 90 and 900 Euros) to a 50 minutes showcase, with Madonna on stage for only 40 minutes (including a 10 minutes-long speech where she insisted on starsplaining to her French audience what France was all about, from French culture to French politics, and while I mostly agree with her views, her analysis was both naive and uninformed, something the whole audience picked up on) Cringworthy speech aside, the show was great and the audience was really into it, but it ended on a sour note when Madonna's stage exit after performing "Je T'aime Moi Non Plus" marked the actual end of the show That was very unexpected, and when people realized the show was done, water bottles started flying around, People screamed "Remboursez!" (Refund), "Salope" (B*tch), "Shame on you" I've been to many Madonna concerts but that was a first Madonna, no doubt, heard it all, the private backstage area of the Olympia being very close to the stage She later told during some interviews how "nazi skinheads had sneaked into the venue and started rioting, throwing bottles to the stage, Heil-hitler'ing, they were trying to oppress me and not allow me to express myself" No Madonna, there were no nazi skinheads present Security was really tight, both inside and outside the Olympia I heard ONE rather low "booh" during your speech when you mentioned the LePen woman Yes, there were a few asshole supporters of Marine LePen present (whom Madonna rightfully criticized during her endless speech), but they were just 5 or 6 off-putting morons who didn't make more noise at the end of the show than 90 of the discontented audience present - aka your loyal and true fans, mostly left-winged gays who despite often wearing their hair very short, have nothing to do with nazi skinheads A very large portion of the audience was calling you a c*nt and a b*tch, and throwing their cups and bottles onto the stage, and that wasn't because you're a political maverick, a freedom fighter oppressed by non-existent nazi skinheads because of your fight for liberty and equality and never-ending liberalism It was because you and your staff promoted this short showcase as a full show that was part of a tour, sold expensive tickets for it, tolerated the insane black market (leaving some confused and eager fans paying as high as 900 euros right in front of the Olympia via an unofficial-yet-tolerated ticket retailer), kept calling this short show "a gift", and left the stage after 45 minutes without so much as a goodbye and before climax was reached I don't have a dog in this fight: I didn't pay for my ticket (a few hundreds out of the 1600 tickets sold were given through various contests or as invites), I didn't have to wait in line for 24 hours in the blistering July sun like many others did I was one of the very few people present in the audience who knew from inside sources this show wasn't going to last more than 40 minutes (although it did, by more than 10 minutes, only because of that endless bloody speech) I really enjoyed this concert despite its anticlimax, and I didn't scream nor booh at the end And I don't condone anyone calling a woman a c*nt for something so trivial But I left the Olympia bemused and spooked, surrounded by 1600 angry or disappointed people, still screaming, half-amused, half-angry to have been "had" This one evening begot years of bad publicity in Europe about Madonna's shows, and about her lack of respect towards her audience (even more so now that she is notorious for arriving up to 3 hours late onstage during her later tours)" _Cambrello Comment from : ‡ Dan·K ‡

The way in which they adapted the mdna show for a theater was interesting, here the organizers and producers of the event were to blame, which was announced just two weeks after it took place and at no time were the attendees warned that it was a shortened version of the original show although a little common sense on the part of the fans wouldn't have been so bad anyway, at that point, she had never done a show in a theater that lasted more than an hour, for many of us who are long-time fans and were watching online,we just expected what it was, a show of no more than 50 minutes, or did the fans at the olympia think that she was going to put the huge production of the mdna tour with the motel, the drummers hanging from the ceiling and the slackline in such a small and intimate theater?
