Off topic and I apologize New York state is a great place to spend an extended vacation It was on our radar to buy a second home in the North Country for June through October The climate is almost perfect summer and fall Unfortunately, the state has lost their mind with the exorbitant 25 to 3 percent annual property tax rate These counties have steadily lost population for the last 50 years and home prices are also losing ground and sitting vacant I had a long conversation with a local real estate executive and he explained that the state has abandoned these outlying counties forcing them to raise their taxes to unprecedented levels to survive I asked why would anyone move to this area His reply was there's no reason to which is why these areas are in a steady decline

Great video! Growing up in Rockland County and going on road trips as a youth they’ve definitely missed a lot of spots The city to me is overrated and too crowded NY state is beautiful Everything isn’t a tourist stop of course but it’s so much natural beauty and history 🙌🏽🙌🏽❤️❤️

Upstate NY is at its finest May through October Sadly, NYC is a mess in 2022; would not currently recommend the 5 BurroughsThe Hudson Valley is beautiful brLong Island has changed dramatically in the last 50 yrs- not all of it for the better The Finger Lakes region is exceptional Too bad taxes, poor political leadership and crime has lead to a mass exodus Nice to visit; no longer want to live there
