I don't care what embarrassing tourists think of my country If they love it - good for them, if they hate it - who cares br Too expensive? Also in Western Europe Too hot? In the shower too They think we are an apartheid state? Only in their dreams We are too rude? This is our culture, f*ck off Too ugly cities - it's pretty good for a 75 year old country Too many soldiers on the streets - well we are not Switzerland Too small country - cope Comment from : יהודי מזרחי שמרן ומחוץ למטריקס |

I've visited Israel as a non-jewish tourist, mainly visiting Jerusalem and Tel AvivbrI can say what really surprised me:br- I felt so safe everywhere I went, from Israel to A zones in PAbr- The segregation in Jerusalem without any walls and hard borders (Old Town and West/East Jerusalem)br- The difference between two cities, Jerusalem and Tel Aviv in just 50km is astonishing Feels like they're capitals of two different countriesbr- Rav Kav systembr- Military in Jerusalem everywhere, 18yo cadets roaming through the city with weapons everywherebr- How building facades in Tel Aviv and roads/sidewalks are unmantained For a rich city like that it's a shamebr- How tall the segregation wall isbr- How dirty the palestinian territories are Trash everywhere, shamebr- Palestinians still have a smile and go on day by day even if they have so many difficulties in their livesbr- I head that Israelis are direct and they have no problem talking with you, but I didn't imagine that they could be so open Not even southern Italy is that openbr- Internal flights from TLV to Eliat Why? Comment from : Vl4doski |

I really want to visit Israel The issue is there’s things that really rub me the wrong way My question to the people that live there is the injustice really that extreme, or is it just a small part of society that’s highly focused on? Comment from : Aaron M |
I love 🇮🇱 ❤ Comment from : liza tab |
They use the land more effectively for horticulture, Tel Aviv is like an american city, old Jerusalem is old with narrow crowded historical street, Bethlehem didn't have a historical feel to it, the people weren't rude but didn't seem to have too much curiosity towards tourists and it wasn't especially easy to meet or talk to the people Property prices appear to be amongst the highest in the world, doctors seem to earn more than they would in USA Occasionally you will see a Jewish person who bears a resemblance to Jesus ! Comment from : Brian Bozo |
The shameless occupation hoooloooocost Comment from : Ali Dar |
so are all these tourists jewish? Comment from : kiwin111 |
I am glad that the Berkeley kid now has a better understanding of Israel!brBerkeley is an embarrassment as a University! Comment from : SK Ontheroad |
What is most surprising is how dumb and uninformed everyone being interviewed is! Comment from : SK Ontheroad |
Maybe it would be better to get another definition for what she meant by "crappy" Translation is very important Please try to be more accurate especially as the words are important in these answers And questions Comment from : SK Ontheroad |
Hi Corey The question will b much precise if it ws : what u did not expect instead of what surprised u Comment from : 〽️PATAGONIA〽️ |
What surprised me about Israel is the apartheid Comment from : S B |
What surprised me is that twice a purse was left in a highly tourist areas for many hours, and when we returned to retrieve it, not only were they still there, but nothing was missing Not a single shekel ❤️ Israel so much Been there 6 times and planning my next I represent millions of Evangelical Christians in the US, Canada, and around the world who love and support Israel It does feel like home, in a way However, once outside of the typical tourist areas and without a tour group, it can feel a little lonelier, especially if one does not know Hebrew or have friends/family to eat Shabbat dinner with Comment from : Amy Hansen |
Some Israelis are European and some are MiddlebrEastern I guess jewish originally are all middle eastern from thousands of years ago Comment from : Dating and Life Advice Channel |

They stole a country by pretending to be the Ancient Iudeans Amazing And now everyone has to cow tow to them, even though it's clear that these are non Israelites Now, if that isn't chutzpah! Comment from : Eloi Investigates |
Would any westerner seeped in negative ideas of Jews and Israel 🇮🇱 ever make a leisurely trip there? Comment from : I9s7lam5is S3tu1pid |

Absolutely love Israel ❤(non Jewish here) Comment from : Gluon |
Around 10:35 ish really annoyed me Corey please don't put words into people's mouths brbrYour misrepresentation of Tel Aviv is unfortunate The city is booming with new tall and beautiful buildings and incredible restoration projects are happening in south Tel Aviv too Many buildings are definitely at crumble point, but the way you said it sounded like the whole of Tel Aviv looks like thatbrbrDon't forget Tel Aviv and Miami are arguably the top 2 cities in the world today in terms of innovation output brbrTel Aviv is impressive Comment from : Mr Coconut 🥥 |
17:53 - On no this would hurt the provincial wannabes in Tel Aviv who pretend Tel Aviv is like NY or LA I'm from Jerusalem and it would be interesting to hear what tourists think of it because it's very different than TA where the interviews take place Comment from : abc xyz |
The first thing tourists realise is the Land Of Israel game is just a series of memes and slogans ……that Israel and Palestine is the exact same place where the Zionist settlers aren’t native to land in any way shape or form Comment from : gur rah |
LOL, one american and its one of those religious wackos xD Comment from : I agree |
that guy at the end is probably doesn't understand anti-semetism, people don't want to engage with Israel because they know if they do the conflict will continue, they want the Jews to raise their hands in the air and submit to whatever power wants to kill them like the Jews have done for the last several thousand years Comment from : Kev E |
One of my favourite episodes Comment from : kimc555 |
As an Israeli, the worst thing about living in Israel is the political situation, internally and externally The terror attacks are just a symptom but they are scary to deal with even if they are not as often as they used to be during the Second Intifada (although there is a growing fear in me of a third Intifada)brI also fear that the country will no longer be democratic if Bibi passes his machiavellian justice reform, which sucks brBut overall the country is considered very safebrMost people are kind and welcoming, and they go out of their way to help people in their communitiesbrFor example, a cars repair shop burned down one time in my small town, and people in the community created a fund to repair itbrI love this country and I wish the best for it Comment from : Nevo |
It’s funny how the one of the last guys said most Americans are on the pro-Palestinian side 😂 He’s young It’s most Americans his age and college educated who are pro-Palestinian I’m 56 and most people my age and older are pro-Israeli We have watched the conflict develop before the Arabs got their marketing message down Comment from : SandraD |
It is not israél it’s Palestine Comment from : ghitta elbernossi elphilali elttazi |
Naive stupid American kids from California Comment from : Lagolop |
A friend from Israel who served in the IDF laughed that Putin had not yet defeated Ukraine I asked why Israel has not been able to defeat Palestine for almost 75 years with modern American weapons, and in the absence of a regular army in Palestine The friend shut up Comment from : Кот Доступа |
Prayers for the people of Turkey and Syria brWe are all G-d's creatures Comment from : The Proud Jew |

Great video! I can't wait to visit Israel soon! Comment from : Maggie Reman |
If the guy from Berkeley is Bay Area born & raisedI’m less surprised maybe? that he said the US is so pro-Palestinian brbrNot if you’re in the American South, and the South is big Comment from : TheQuietStorm42 |
"I thought you were the Jewish guy" As if you can see if someone is Jewish And I've also learned that not everybody who claims to be Jewish is Jewish (Messianic 'jews' or some catholics for example are people who identify with the Jewish Jesus that much that they actually believe that they are Jewish) Comment from : Rudy de Groot |
It is really disappointing and disgusting how people can be so selfish supporting colonisation and ignoring the misery happening to some people in the name of "we are having fun" brbrHow selfish humans can be Comment from : Mohammed Fawaz |
The guy from Portugal first comments that the I/P conflict feels far away In the next sentence he starts that it's strange to have security personnel in shops and at the bus station He's so naive that her doesn't understand that the reason the conflict seems fair away is because of the unending work of security personnel Comment from : Ben Ploni |
dude just said America is Pro Palestine Comment from : Saleha Noori |
Israel is the most beautiful and diverse place I ever visited Comment from : JazzATrain |
Hopefully Mr Putin will nuke SOB Israel off of the map soonFUCK ZION!!! Comment from : Chris Buchan |

I'm from Indonesia My family and I went on a pilgrimage once a few weeks before a bus full of tourists was bombed by terrorists in the Sinai desert about 5 years agobrbrThe most surprising thing that I found out is that a lot of Indonesians, especially Christians, visit Israel for pilgrimage too despite lack of diplomatic relations In fact, the share of Indonesian Christians is such that tourist companies in Israel complained to their government when they halted Visas for Indonesians Comment from : anyanyany anyanyany |
fascinating that Spanish people see so much similarity with Israel! Mediterranean peoples Comment from : Aline Da Silva Frost |
No, listen If there were something that attracts me, that I am interested in I would think that supporting such people is not the best thing I can do Comment from : simona got |
It's Palestine and it will always be Comment from : Jo A |
I love this video and the Palestinian equivalent They show the REAL "holy land", how it is right now without the context of the painful histories (which of course are still relevant, but this is a refreshing view) Comment from : クソうざい |
Free Palestine from the river to the sea, and Corey's definition of Zionism needs to be challenged that will be a good question zionism is ethnosupremacist and always was a violent, settler colonial movement Corey you are a liberal zoinist, who washes and cover the real face of Israeli zionism shame on you end apartheid Free Palestine Dezionise Israel and decolonise Palestine Comment from : O Mar |
8:15 Seems like good bloke Comment from : awesome220 |
I’mbrCurious how many are and aren’t Jewish Or are and aren’t religious be it Christian or otherwise Comment from : awesome220 |
15:10 These kids from the USA are so indoctrinated, they see racism everywhere Not liking other people because they have another religion is definitely not racism and probably has some story behind it, certainly in Israel Edit; oh, berkeley Now it makes sense Comment from : Tyr |
You have a habit of emphasizing the negatives of Israel by referring to the old buildings as "crappy" It seems that you have a hatred for Israel, although you speak perfect Hebrew Your Hebrew accent is that of a Sabrah Lamah attah sonay Yisrael? Comment from : Martin Maidenbaum |
One of the best vids you've put up Very cool to see the perceptions of tourists Comment from : Negation F |

Long live Palestine 🇵🇸 Comment from : krazythadom |
🇵🇸❤️🙏 Comment from : krazythadom |
The conflict between Palestinians and Israelis is ideological and not personal One could say the ideology becomes personal, but in reality there is far more cooperation than conflict On the fringes as in Gaza there is personal hatreds and radicalism, but in Israel and the West Bank there is mostly cooperation Big problem now is the fringe radical Jews that Netanyahu brought into the Israeli government But even this will pass and normalcy and cooperation will prevail Comment from : Allen Moses |
The last question at 21:05 is something people should listen to as it is an extremely common feeling among non-Israeli Jews Our history, our culture, our holy book, our stories and (most) of our genes originate from the area of modern day Israel That feeling cannot be fully described but it is something deep that cannot be erased, and that a lot of people don’t want to understand Praying for peace in Israel/Palestine, salaam, shalom❤️ Comment from : Crunchy Peanut |
What a wonderful occupation
brToo bad it won't last long
brWe will inherit all this beauty soon, God willing

"Peace for Israel means security, and we must stand with all our might to protect its bright to exist…/b I see Israel as bone of the great outposts of democracy in the world,/b and a marvelous example of what can be done, how desert land can be btransformed/b into an oasis of brotherhood and democracy"brbr- Martin Luther King 😇 Comment from : Patriots For Israel 𓂆 |
I have family in Israel, speak Hebrew and have traveled there several times There weren't a lot of things which surprised me The number of Haredim was a little surprising, as well as the cost of food Some food is pricey in Israel Comment from : MetalGearPony |
A lot of tourists are mentioning the crappy buildings in Israel Because they were built fast and cheap because they had to be 70 years ago However, not cheap to buy an apartment in Tel Aviv in one of those crappy buildings Comment from : vile glorious pigeon |

America is by no means “Pro Palestine” lol Comment from : נתנאל וורטי |
Notice what he said He was surprised that Judea and Samaria (West Bank) Palestinian Arab cities…were just Arabs That’s because Jews are not allowed in those areas You will literally get lynched if you go into certain cities Jews are not allowed to own any land Look at Israel You have Arabs and Jews You have Arabs that owned homes and land and stores That’s the difference Remember that when you hear the international community calling Israel an apartheid state Comment from : נתנאל וורטי |
