Do hike in Israel! Nature here is amazing, especially between January and May! Just make sure you do it safely by going with local people who know where they're going, and be prepared to carry enough water for a day Getting dehydrated is too easily achieved especially in Summer and, in the deserts, at any time of the year, and is certainly neither good for you nor courteous to your hosts!brDo talk about any topic you want including politics! Thus, you will be paying us Israelis respect by engaging in our national sport, arguing! Be however prepared to lose We're good at it, given we're trained from childhood Comment from : Daniel L Levy |

What’s up with your voice or the way u speak ?? Some of the things u said are also incorrect TLV is pretty liberal u can wear and say what u want as u please No one cares And people in Israel always kiss on the cheek It’s not always a formal handshake unless that’s what u want Comment from : Mike Michael |

A few corrections First you can and should definitely go hiking in Israel There are many marked trails in nature including the famous Israel trail going from north to south Second, Israelis love talking about politics so feel free to ask and most ppl will be happy to share! About modesty you can wear whatever you want in Tel Aviv and should only be concerned with modesty in religious sites or certain neighborhoods in Jerusalem Also women do not need to cover their hair in Jewish sites at all Also regarding the taxi from the airport there is also a train you can take for a fraction of the cost of a taxi Prices of taxis are regulated, make sure to ask them to use the meter and you should be fine Comment from : Rikki Chauin |
Waiters will chase you out of the restaurant for not tipping yep no wonder! Comment from : Whitby Retreat |
Yes; the West Bank is not “touristy” That’s where oppression and racism against the Palestinian people living under Israeli military rule exist That’s where the IDF shoot and kill Palestinians without any liability Comment from : J Mu |
First of all, many restaurants aren't kosher and offer cheeseburgers as well as pork, shrimp etc Secondly, while it is true that you should dress modestly in religious sites, there's no problem outside of these boundaries Israel is a majority secular country, there's absolutely no problem with showing cleavage, wearing mini skirts and shorts It's completely normal and widely accepted brThirdly, it's true for anyone that it's not recommended to go off trace on a hike There's minefields in Golan Heights but there's always a sign and fences, as well as an arranged path - so it's safe Kinda exaggerated there😆 Israel is known for its stunning nature and it'd be a huge miss not to explore the landscape brMost importantly, Israelis are some of the warmest people you'll ever meet You're more than welcome to kiss and hug as a greeting We're not one bit formal!! 😅🤣brI have to say that some of the descriptions here sound a bit misleading Sounds like eastern europe or something Israel is as modernized as the USbrI wish a fair welcome to whoever is planning to stay in Israel We have amazing restaurants (Genuinely, very high quality and always tasty) Very rich culture, super loud and warm people Israel is a small country, so make sure to explore most of it!! 💙🤍 Comment from : Taliyon |
Ohhh no no more Israel!!! I’ve travelled there twice and had terrible experience, Tel Aviv is super dirty, messy and neglected, the buildings look like there’s been continuous war and many people are rude No information in English on many items and as the last straw they treat you like a criminal at the airport no matter whether you arrive or leave… just got from Isrsel and they didn’t send my luggage with my flight cause they had the audacity to open it (they destroyed the lock system) and were just touching my private stuff! Never again! Israel is just not worth it! brbrAhh and one more thing… brbrBe prepared for tipping everywhere for everything!! brbrBut when Israelis need to pay you they will haggle and go to the extra mile… brNO NO NO!! brbrPraying for Palestine mashallah 🇵🇸 Comment from : Giulia Giacintucci |
I think you didn’t mention the Shabbat Shabbat can be very problematic to any tourists who want to travel about in Israel (especially in Jerusalem )on Saturday Comment from : steven a |

As for McDonald, no one should it there, ever, anywhere 🙂brBut from my point of view, the most important thing you forgot to mention as an absolute no-no when visiting Israel, is to avoid, as much as possible, Tel-Aviv & Jerusalem! Comment from : creativesolution3 |
there are alot of not kosher mcdonalds with cheese you just have to add it manually! Comment from : katanYa |
Nice video, but I have a few corrections, as an Israelibr1 Not all McDonald's are kosher, especially in Tel Aviv br2 In general, the more religious the place, the more kosher restaurants & vice versabr3 Wear whatever you want, except for holy/religious placesbr4 On the Holocaust Memorial Day, we have one siren in the morning & on Yom HaZikaron we have two, in the evening & morning br5 You can talk about politics as long as you are not "telling" us, the people how actually live here, we are wrong, try to live here yourself before you judgebr6 And we are the most informal people there are, for better or for worse Comment from : Hanny Cohen |

plenty of restaurats offer shelfish and some places even pork and you can discuss world politics as well as local, not a problem eitherand hiking in israel is amazing, you just need a tourguide and minefields??? not sure where you got this idea fromfor some reason your video gives off an eastern european vibe of israel which it is not - i feel like i watched a review for budapest or something and not a crazy high energy country with lots of tasty eating places and tons of things to see and explore from top to bottom of the country Comment from : Analog Flava |

As an Israeli I think this is an excellent guide to what not to do in Israel However I have some important comments 1- It is perfectly fine to walk around with religious symbols such as the Koran or the cross, Israel is a country where the three religions exist side by side and we as Jewish citizens respect them all 2- It is true that there are areas where the frequency of the rockets is higher, however we have an "Iron Dome" system, which protects us and allows us a comfortable daily life even in these areas, it is important to note that there are areas that are absolutely forbidden to enter such as the A I-B areas that are under control of the Palestinian Authority and Arab villages that are not friendly to Israel
br But there are clear signs that explain where it is forbidden to enter, so there is nothing to fear Apart from that, I wish everyone a pleasant trip to visit Israel and welcome Comment from : nevo peer נבו פאר |

אנה את יהודיה? Comment from : Evia Go |
All McDonald's in Israel have menus in Israel with English, and not all of them kosher Most Israelis eat just coffee and a small sandwich or pastry Shakshuka is more traditional for "10 o'clock meal", since nobody has time to cook in the morning Haggling is ONLY acceptable in the "Shuk", and don't expect to do it at the mall, or normal stores, etc Hiking is fine, just make sure you are not alone Everyone talks politics, just be polite and listen, and be welcome to share your opinion in a respectful way She's right about what not to bring, and the things about modest dress More people hug these days, just let them make the first move Comment from : Steven Grossman |
Sorry but your don't go hiking rule is wrong There are many designated hiking trails throughout Israel in which thousands of people use per year and they are perfectly safe The danger of rocket fire is only in the south right by the Gaza strip and most of the time there isnt even rocket fire Minefields are clearly signposted and blocked off It's only dangerous if you go off the trail DO go hiking! It's such a beautiful walk full of nature and amazing views, and a lot of hikes can be done by streams and waterfalls which is perfect in the summer Comment from : jlandau900 |

Note for guys visiting Haifa You can't enter the Bahai gardens in shorts! BTW, Israelis love hiking There are tons of books and websites about hikes in Israel There are organized hiking trips as well as jeep and bike trips, canoeing on the Jordan River There are even organized tours into the Sinai (Egypt) from Eilat and to Jordan There's even skiing up north Tel Aviv and Jerusalem are great but there's lots more to see and do Comment from : Chaim Handler |
