Colorado was at one point just as empty as wyoming Colorado didn't start to get populated until fairly recently, notice how denver is the most populated city and even so it only has like 600 000 population Also notice the other cities in colorado are still quite low in population, one good thing about wyoming is most people hopefully won't find a way to tolerate the wind/blizzards which means it hopefully won't ever grow and become a cesspool like most cities are these days wyoming and north/south dakota and for now vermont are the only states that aren't cesspools like california and washington state are

Yes, Wyoming is a very conservative state Outsiders (especially California's) are not very welcome there 2 things you failed to mention but have very great impact on it's populationbr1: The lower lands between the mountain elevations are 6k feet above sea levelbr2: Because of that elevation There is more snow fall there per year than both Colorado and Montana

Northern CO resident here that relocated from the middle of CO about 3yr ago I'll say, we get a small sample of Wyomings weather, which is enough to keep us from going farther north There are some amazingly beautiful parts of Wyoming, and the residents who can withstand the weather/wind are stronger than I am

I like driving through Wyoming (when it's not during the winter lol) because the scenery is so nice and there's minimal traffic I-25 from Cheyenne to the Montana border is one of the most quiet and peaceful drives you can have I remember driving down from Cody en route to Colorado one day and I stopped @ a rest area where not a single soul was present I hadn't seen a single car for probably an hour on the roads and being @ that rest area was the closest I've ever felt to feeling like I was the only person on this planet
