Weirdly enough the exact opposite experience happened to me and a friend of mine once, we booked separated beds and got double beds twiceThey gave us a key to our room we saw it was a double bed went back to the counter (they upgraded us for free cause we had booked a standard room but turned out that those kind didn't even had separated beds even though their website said they did) went to our new room turned out they had given us the wrong key and had to go back to the counter again to finally get the right key to a room with separated beds Comment from : Koen 23 |

you know it's funny, I'm in a mixed straight relationship, and we get similar things happening to us Hotels often ask us if we're staying together, and will sometimes keep checking to see if our bookings are correct because they think something's wrong Most recently we were flying and when we booked in, the guy at check-in asked "Is it ok that I seated you next to each other? If you book a double room, you WANT a double room I had a similar situation when I went to Barcelona with my best friend (also a girl), I booked a twin room and they gave us a double because they thought we were a couple I had to tell them, I booked a twin because if we share a bed we will be dead by the morning!
