Friend did what you guys have done Unfortunately afterall the hard work the house was infested with recluse spiders They tried several exterminators and treatments but not much worked They tried to tough it out but ended up walking away from it Sold it at a dirt cheap price and lost tons of money

Wow your mansion even with renovation cost is under $1M I live in Hawaii and our homes are much smaller and cost over a million dollars on average My father designed our home and was built since 1995 Many people like the stained glass mosaic windows in our living room which is worth preserving I hope our home last over 100 years but it’s going to cost a lot of $$$ for renovations out here!

Now this is how you update a home! Love this! Ugh I hate these newer younger house flippers gutting out old homes and destroying the beauty and uniqueness that you cannot get made anymore these days all to add some cheap-boring-plain ugly POS modern garbage that’s not gonna lastbrIt should be illegal to “remodel” We should be restoring and adding subtle modern features It’s like If you want a modern home go out and buy one of these brand new cookie cutter or box shaped eyesores they are building everyday!

How can one pay over $2500 on a mortgage of less than $500k? Does not really add up, and that is considering the worst case (no down payment, 4 interest rate)

Not sure if anyone said this or though this but know why the Kitchen was in basement? The basement is always much cooler than the rest of the house in the summer! There is no AC in 1913, I bet this was a way to cool while cooking and eating, besides you spend much time in kitchen, makes sense That is my thought though, not an expert

I LOVE what you have done here and the antique furnitureSTUNNING! FYI: It was very common in older homes to have small sinks in bedrooms People did not bathe the way they do today Many people wake up, do what is called a "sitz bath," dress and go on with their day So sinks in bedrooms let them do just that

You have a lot of beautiful woodwork in that great house If you want a beautiful deep glow try some bee's wax and the woodwork will glow for several weeks It does require periodic applications but it is well worth it in ythe end Good luck

What a cool restoration I like the minimalism and old mixed with new, modern Thanks for not cluttering it up furniture, paintings, and knick knacks, etc ; ) Thus, the renovation looks even more spacious with lots of breathing room I also like that you kept the paint and furnishing neutral colored for the most part without dark paint and dark furniture, thus, making the renovation look even more "light and airy" This renovation reminds me of the 3 story house renovation (the only 3 story house renovation on the show) in Waco, TX on the former Fixer Upper show on HGTV
