Just visited Rome, the locals are some of the rudest people I have ever encountered and the restaurants try to rip you off by charging food you didn't by and the outskirts of Rome are filthy and run down with a lot of graffiti

One thing I am surprised Gabe did not note about the Colosseum is the number of scammers in the vicinity At least when I was there in 2004, there were lots of people taking up collections ostensibly for Christian/Catholic missionary programs, but I was warned at my hostel that these are all tourist scams They just pocket the money Be wary!

Yeahhhhhhhhh Rome was amazing when i visiting the city in summer of 2015, i almost died due to the heated hot weather i got pickpocketed and lost my cosmetic bag, had to travel without putting make up at all Maybe pickpocket had mistaken my cosmetic bag for purse i remember making reservation at pizzeria, very poor ingredients and not tasty at allPlus there was bar called Buddha such a disgrace to my religion
