Kurtis, mate, I love your work and you inspire me a great deal, but for the love of fuck please stop handling swarf with your bare hands When I was in trade school I mate that mistake and it nearly removed the tip of my right index finger from the last knuckle forwardsbrbrSwarf hooks or cut proof gloves if you absolutely must use your hands

Do you ever make more than one repair part at a time?brbrMeasuring and setup must be 70 of the time, so their might be an opportunity in selling the customer a spair for their other machines or having a ready replacement on hand if it's a common machine in your area You could market spares as insurance against the expense of downtime

Man… you really need to use a face shield along with your safety glasses when doing any sort of grinding or cutting I speak from experience wearing both and still having steel shards embedded in my eye 3 times working in a fab shop, the only thing that saved my vision was my contacts, those steel pieces were still in my contacts when I pulled them out of my eyes… it’s no joke

Why no branding on the part, or a reference number for you, and maybe a note on it of the correct seals and bush's :p - combine them both, so you can have your brand on it (maybe with a made date) and a note of the relevant replacement parts It would be awesome :) or maybe that's your new 'CuttingEdge Blue' you used :p

Another fantastic video! Curtis, your ws2 seems to be the standard Would you recommend getting that for someones first/only machine? They also make a ws2 compact (4 inches less stroke so 4" shorter chassis) or a pro which uses a 50mm bar Thanks for any input!

my grandfather had me stick welding before i started Kindergarten, i was gas welding with a rod time i was 8 by 12 i was in love with Tig welding especially Tiggin aluminum GF even made me my own lil helmet when i was 5, i always knew id work with my hands in a machine shop to go into a machine shop today the smell takes me back to my childhood
