Why in Lords name are people telling tourists to go to Athlone? And the reason is 1 old pub People, nobrbrIf you are driving, stay away from the tourist traps brCliffs of Moher/Cashel/Giants causway or anything you have heard of, avoid in peak season brIf a town has loads of caravan parks, avoid in peak seasonbrbrBest weather is generally Apr to mid/end of June and again maybe in late Aug through Sept brBe prepared for any season to be like a wet and windy autmn, you can take coats off, you can't put them on if you don't have them But we do get some dry spells which can last a few weeks brbrThere are far more fantastic little spots all around the coast and country, especially from Cork into Kerry and round the ring and Mayo to Donegal is massivly overlookedbrWild Atlantic Way is about the best suggestion, find all the wee roads and go down them, avoid the main roads when possible, bryou will find more than the instagram pic to say you were at x y or z famous spot Comment from : dzzope |

Heads up Renting a car is NOT the same as the US Check to make sure that your credit card covers the insurance because it’s going to cost ya Also make sure you have a large available credit on your card because they will be putting a 5k reserve hold as a deposit if you don’t want to be paying almost $100 per day for additional insurance I just traveled there and those were the only options Comment from : Harrington Music |
