Hello captain! Amazing content, so useful for developing my flight sim knowledge! May I ask, what influences your decision as to AUTOTHRUST on or off for landing? I see you enjoy manual thrust often on your visual approaches? Comment from : George Lumkin |

During decent on an a319 a few days ago The aircraft suddenly and violently banked right about 45 degrees before the pilot corrected Does this sound like wake turbulence? I've never experienced something like that Almost felt like a quick turn to avoid collision Comment from : Lord Gareth Reecewood-Moggathy |
Thank you for the video! Comment from : My Entertainment |

Tight operation by Fuerteventura ATC lots of traffic to handle As part of LH group Eurowings allows AP OFF with A/THR ON? I know it is normal for most airlines but at LH I always see AP OFF and A/THR OFF as well Comment from : Luca |

For all those who want to know the reason for the long displaced threshold: As far as I know, the land just in front of the runway doesn't belong to the airport As they want to accommodate a full CAT I ILS approach lighting system (length 900m) for this direction, they do so on the runway (ie soil that belongs to the airport) So they won't want let planes land on that (probably) There's also a last part of the runway that's also unsuitable for landing, as it's designated to be a stopway brSonst, wie immer, ein super Video! Vielen Dank dafür! Erinnert mich an meinen FFS Flug gestern ;) Comment from : J Stein |

Comment from : Ryjano |
Wow !!! Comment from : Decca Robbo |
Wonderful video again captain👏 Comment from : nPONT |
That is the funniest looking runway I've ever seen! Does anybody know why the the displaced threshold is halfway down the runway? How bizarre Comment from : NIMSU |
Brilliant as always! This video, especially the first 15 minutes or so would answer that most common of question: 'what happens if a plane loses both its engines?' A steady glide as shown above! Although I'm not sure if any power was used in the first 15 minutes, but it didn't seem like any was needed I find energy management during flight way more interesting than I should! Safe travels and thanks again for your contribution to the aviation enthusiast 'community'! Comment from : NIMSU |
Amazing videos! Just discovered your channel A camera pointing to the FMC it would be very useful for who a learning from your videos, me included! Good job! Comment from : zrylux |
Thank you for another great video Captain If I may ask about the atc - It is obvious that allowing pilots to turn down their radios might prevent them from hearing a crucial message, yet it would seem almost impossible to conduct a briefing if all comms come through the headset at the same volume So, to what extent can pilots alter the volumes of cockpit / atc in their headsets, or is it fixed to some relative value? Thanks again for providing such a wonderful perspective for us non-pilots! Comment from : mehashi |
Thanks for the wonderful approach as always How does the VLS check work? I thought Vapp is managed by gs mini? Comment from : JoJota |

thank you for these views :> Comment from : N! KOO |
Another interesting video - many thanks The displaced landing point on the runway was very odd - do planes taking off need a longer run, or is it to get landing planes to the terminal turnoffs quicker ---- or is it just the engineering of the runway? Interested to know As a bit of feed back to your video, the visibility of the instruments is as good as you have done, and they are now very clear This time, though, the sound was a bit difficult The ATC chatter was a bit too strong, and it was difficult to hear what you were saying - especially in the early stages of the approach Small point, and I guess it gives an insight into what it must be like for you on your headphones Comment from : Geoff H |
I gotta say that I've learned so much from flying the Airbus because of that camera on the PFDI'm still flying GA/Piston and looking foward to join an airline 😁😁 Comment from : Henrique Carneiro |
