I remember one doctor left his prescription pad on his desk in the waiting room! I'm wondering if he planted it there on purpose This was about 15 years ago and I was hooked on percocet and oxycontin So I can tell you I was seriously thinking about grabbing up that prescription pad

we are very lucky in the UK as in A&E you are usually first seen in around 30 minutes and ambulance is around 3 minutes from ambulance to doctor

I think it's funny that Americans suddenly forget all the times they've never been helped immediately during an emergency or appointment visit, how quickly we forget that doctors forget to send out scripts, or that the pharmacy is out of said medication, and all the bull ya gotta go through just to have it done that doesn't just coincide with how expensive it is For the most part, I'd bet American waiting times are the same/not far off, and that this is probably exacerbated due to some sort of Anti-Socialized HealthcarebrbrI'd also be happy to wait an hour (like I usually already do, just sometimes in different rooms) and not have to go in debt the rest of my life to have a mole removed or some shit

Never heard so much crap! USA health care? My copay to a specialist is 980, I can get an MRI same day, ED can not turn you away, like they do in Canada How long do you wait for anything in Canada? My son in law has already waited 2months for surgery, no date yet! My cousin is waiting for life saving heart surgery in London for > 4months Canadian health care is a joke I know I live there and am an RN in Detroit Thank gif for my American health insurance!!

I had the worst experience in my life with Canada's health care system Because of all the immigrants they're pushing in, the wait times had been increasing for those who need treatment My mom accidentally ingested isopropyl alcohol because it was in a water bottle We rushed to the ER and had to wait for registering and diagnosis There were tons of people just waiting as if it was a doctors clinic Isn't this the ER!? One of the people in ER had a kid with a bleeding forehead from head trauma and was waiting for hours!? WTF!? You're going to die just wating in the ER without immediate treatment My mom started going under the effects of Isopropyl alcohol and it was about 2 hours until they diagnosed her and another 2 for treatment This healthcare system is complete trash, just imagine if it was a more deadlier poison something worse would've happened

I’m Canadian and we went to LA last spring my wife had to be rushed to ER Long story short we did what we needed to do Had to leave asap bec we had our flight back the next day Our doctor said frankly Canadian health care is better Yes we didn’t wait that long as in Canadian hospitals But thats bec the lines weren’t that long bec on how expensive healthcare in the US is I was stressed w/ both my wife’s condition and how much the bill was Ended up w/ a US$20k bill, where in Canada we would just walk out Honestly the time for me to pay was as long as the wait time Good thing insurance covered everything but the billing process was complicated and you had to sign a ton of waivers before and after just so they won’t be liable In Canada health card and when done you get out

Hello I'm from Canada I got stabbed not too long ago in my rib cage and I need stitches bad so I went to the doctors and they told me I could be waiting 5 to 7 hours I looked at the lady and I said luckily it's not bleeding anymore but I need stitches now so it doesn't get infected and she basically just said I'm sorry but maybe it will be a five or seven hours wait I basically just walked out took care of the ruin myself what's the point of this free healthcare😂

They are both awful In Canada good luck finding a primary doctor and getting treatment for anything in a reasonable amount of time In the US have fun going broke and a life time of debt and high health insurance costs US system is all about the money, not your health Treat the symptoms, but what ever you do don’t cure the patient! Unfortunately there is no perfect place for healthcare I will say I’ve had great care for low $ in South American countries like Colombia 🇨🇴👌👍
