I was very fortunate to spend 12 months of my life in Belize ( 2 seperate British Army tours of duty back in the 1980's - 80 & 86 ) brAmazing and unique country with some of the nicest people I have ever met Take some time out to study the history of the country especially Mayan and Creole! brAnyone thinking about visitingDo it!! I am from Belize and I am not going to stay anywhere that have a rule of not putting toilet paper in the toilet, put it in the trash, that is gross and not a general rule in Belize, as a matter of fact I have seen those signs in the US also

Ok I went on a tour in Belize and on the way to the ruins, our guide was telling us a bit of history and goes “so who do you think won, the British or Spanish” and our dumb butts said “Spanish” and she goes “No… we’re speaking English so it was the British” 😂 I loved the humour/vibe of the locals
