If this guy even knew I've been in the San Francisco area since before he was kicking slats out of the cradle Decades before he was born even An example of millennial conditioning by the Democratic party He wasn't there in the 50s, 60s He has nothing to compare it to My advice would be to spend the next twenty years there It'll come to ya🤣🤣🤣🤪💉💉💉 Comment from : Chris Ward |

Yeesh, videos like this will give people the wrong impression Yea you can still do stuff there… Is it cost effective? Are there bums and drug addicts nearby? You don’t have a car but how about those who would rent one while visiting? Good luck to them… meh San Fran is yesterdays news It’s not the shiny new toy everyone wants to play with anymore and that’s for good reason Comment from : P G |
Thanks so much for a balanced tour, you also stayed honest to what you show us I lived in SF Bay Area for 5 years, and 2 years in southern California (1997-2004) I worked 3 years as a taxi driver Many major cities have changed in the world In many crime did go up a lot But In California, three are to horrible issues bringing down: Drugs, uncontrollable Petty theft and businesses literally closing brThese three together are the definition of a terrible fall for the city Of course It is not a zombie town but there must be something to do fast to save the downtown and bring down the number of burglaries and theft I lived in dangerous cities like East Oakland and other placesbrbr Sure it's dangerous, but there was no constant theft That is surprised me in California recently for the moment I live in Paris (its area is called Ile de France) Sure it gets kind of dangerous in some known neighborhoods, but no stores or malls are closing, not even in the most dangerous neighborhoods Comment from : Oussama Dinia |
Didn’t show what a glorious experience it is to ride on BART 😬😬😬 Comment from : Glass Half Full |

What parts of San Francisco did you omit and why? Comment from : M |
This is a great and balanced video I appreciate you showing that despite the significant challenges that SF still has a lot to offer and is not completely unsafe I moved from away from SF in 2017 to go back home to SoCal but I’ll always have fond memories of my time there Comment from : Mara |
a society that rejects law and order, favors drug addicts and criminals over families and business/property owners deserves nothing but criticism until there is change, unfortunately most humans, and especially politicians are narcissists and cannot admit they were wrong about anything, so, better to destroy sf than to admit wrong Comment from : Strength Axle |
I know my way around SF pretty well but I have never seen a cemetery What happens if you die in San Francisco? Comment from : fishlips90210 |

SF has both nice clean safe areas primarily in the neighborhoods and tourists spots as well as sketchy unsafe dirty areas with homeless and crime primarily downtown and the Tenderloin Just depends which youtube vloggers want to show Comment from : psfca |
liberal liar! Comment from : Think for yourself |
Lol So everyone who has been there before and loved it should just lower their expectations by 99 and they won’t be disappointed upon their return Gotcha Comment from : Jerry Caughman |
If CA wants to get better, emulate TX (get tough on crime (send homeless, criminals, and druggies to Alcatraz), cut taxes, get rid of income tax Comment from : Stephen Ferris |
It is not that bad I go there every Saturday Come and see for yourself Comment from : Abe Petrow |

To continue the liberal progressive globalist agenda, voters should not vote for any Republicans, independents, Libertarians, Christians or conservatives Totally vote for the insane left Go all in Let's take this social experiment to its extreme limits California or bust Comment from : William Bruce Wilhite |
This guy likes all the superficial aspects of living in this city And he's probably one of the ones that voted consistently for the government they now have Enjoy your squalor Comment from : Blue Max 73 |

Fisherman's Wharf is where my niece went with her family last January They live in upstate New York and were shocked to find cars being robbed and people were taking it as a normal occurrence Needless to say, no police were around Comment from : Ramon Lijauco |
First of all Adam, I love your name 😅 I have lived here in San Francisco for 35 years and I still really love it here Yes, it has changed over 35 years, as every place has Great video, by the way and I really like the attractions you spotlighted in this video Comment from : Adam Hume |
I recently visited SF for the first time in 23 years, expecting a mess, but it was lovely at least the areas I spent time (Mission, Castro, Sunset districts) I'm sure there are some very sad areas, but it's not all in shambles Comment from : Blake Aaron |
It used to be gorgeous Comment from : Beverlee Carrell |

A tourist can definitely have an okay experience visiting San Francisco and sticking to the high traffic tourist spots, but the residents and daily migratory work force from around the Bay Area are having a terrible experience The city has essentially attempted to save face and swept a lot of their problems under the rug by moving homeless and open air drug markets to less traveled areas that are mainly populated by residents and businesses Much like the CCP of China, saving and maintaining face is more important than actually fixing the problems at their source I used to go all over different parts of the city that doesn’t have all of these famous coffee shops, malls, restaurants, museums, and hotels Many of those areas have been horrible even before the pandemic due to lackluster policy surrounding crime and far-too-progressive DAs and mayors who have shackled their own law enforcement command structure I’ve lived just south of San Francisco for over 30 years and only ever voted Democrat, but this recent string of far-left Progressives have absolutely demolished the quality of life for lower income and middling income San Francisco residents who stuck around Very sad to see Great video, a couple of the spots you showed are still tourist attractions, but are definitely lesser known ones I can tell you have lived in the area before Comment from : MITCH |
Native San Franciscan but have spent more than half of my life in the South I did not leave my heart in San Francisco The city I grew up in no longer exists I'm sure native Chicagoans, Philadelphians, New Yorkers, etc can say the same thing What is so sad about this video is he reaffirms the problem You can visit great places (touristy spots) and avoid the devastating results from years of liberal progressive destroyers so that your trip to SF will be great Just don't look "over there" Heart breaking Comment from : DS |
San Fran will make a comeback but when I do not know Right now if you not a up and coming billionaire or a person with some kind of mental illness the city isn't for you because it's to expensive to live a normal life earning a average salary Comment from : Richard Long |
Lived in SF for over 5 years and visited recently Hey, bottom line is that the diameter of the inner city just got significantly bigger! Comment from : Edwin E Y |
I have visited 3 times from the Uk over the years and you are right it hasn’t changed my mind to cancel plans to visit next year Your video is excellent and brought back happy memories but where are the people ? I remember it as a bustling community and a safe place to visit Living in a quiet village of 60 houses a Church and a pub, it now would be too much of a contrast Hoping I get to return before long haul flights are too much for me lol Comment from : LB |
People like him that keep believing that nothing is wrong and keep voting for the same failed politics are why this once beautiful city has decided into the failed city it has, guess you could move across the bridge to Oakland right? Comment from : Joseph M |
No, it’s not worth it Been there before all the craziness like increase in crime, drugs, and homelessness Never want to visit again Why risk getting robbed, or seeing mentally ill people flaunting themselves, or having your vehicle broken in It’s too risky, and not worth the hassle, headache, and seeing the dark side of humanity around every street corner Comment from : Veetour |
Don't say Bison like that! Comment from : Starlight Mckennah |
Great video This is going on in all major cities, but that should not stop anyone from visiting some great places all over the USA Comment from : Wealth is in your Health! |

Thank you for giving us a more balanced view of SF Here I thought, watching totally negative videos, believed SF really went downhill brbrBtw, I thought you were an established channel How is it, that you have only 783 subscribers ?!? Is this your 2nd channel ?brThis channel cannot be your first foray into making videos, right ? Comment from : Spring Notes |

To sum it up, San Francisco still has a surplus of the charm and quality of life that gathered during it's good periods, specially the Silicon Valley Dreamtime (the late 1990s and the 2000s) Pretty much like my birth city, Rio de Janeiro/ Brazil, still has remnants of the Bossa Nova lifestyle and the characteristic laid back, joyful attitude the tourists get to enjoybrBut decadence, caused by failed policies and narrow-minded bleeding heart decisions - not to mention corruption and grifting - are slowly corroding both cities I left Rio de Janeiro in 2011 and have returned 2 times since (both before the pandemic), always to be a little more disappointed how the city struggles more and more to keep afloat, maybe that's why I dread to return one more time San Francisco, and CA as a whole, still has a chance IF they turn around their misguided policies NOW Comment from : Karine Fonte |
Visit Whole Foods Market People blame them for not researching where they opened their store, but Whole Foods thought it could be a force for change in the right direction Reality said otherwise Comment from : Sang Moon |
When I was in SF a few weeks back it was crawling with homelessness/filth and stench around its fading glories I did try to look beyond the ruins so to enjoy/reminiscence the city of my birth/youth Believe it or not afterward, I didn't leave my heart in San Francisco like in my past visits Comment from : J W |
Dead city Comment from : Equilibrium |
SF use to be a Great place to visit…I thought it was the Most Beautiful City in the Country But I realized that was only superficial after getting to know the city better It may look alluring but be Careful!!!! Comment from : Ravy Po |
Great video Comment from : Karyn |
The title of this video has a question: Is it Really That Bad? Your answer to this question, as I see it: definitely YES! It is that bad The answer you gave at the end of the video is to a completely different, and diverging, question: is worth it to VISIT San Francisco? Yes Stick to the tourist-designated areas and you wouldn't have to see the really bad things about SF even you have to admit Visit Don't stay Because it would be bad for you
br
brSubscribe Comment from : Thao Minh Truong |

Just dont go there Comment from : Yawei Zhi |
Thank you for probably being the ONLY person to really answer the question, “What is SF really like now?” Comment from : Elizabeth Dacosta |
Uplifting and positive - and frankly, it’s a relief to still pick up some good vibes from the city by the bay as she generally appears to have fallen on hard times brMaybe a couple of billionaires could help some of those folks out who are living (and dying) on the streets It was their ‘innovative’ enterprises which drove up rents so high that only rich folks could continue to live there…brThanks - good film Well done… Comment from : john brady |
Over all it’s a dangerous mess…all the locals who aren’t just dropping in for a visit …know this! Comment from : Putt putt |
In your video and like in so many other videos, and if you explore around San Francisco with Google Maps, there are barely any people around That sums it up Comment from : riproar11 |
its fire bro!!!!!!!! Comment from : TFOURKEY |
I think what I noticed the most is how empty the attractions were Comment from : James Reese |
I notice that even in this video, most of the city looks like a morgue I don't think any amount of glossing over is going to change the fact that San Francisco is a corrupt, squalid, far left cesspool Comment from : Michael Phillips |
San Fran needs republican leadership for like 10 years to get it back to being a safe and vibrant city again We all know it just can't say it out loud Sorry but we need to vote everyone out, everyone Comment from : Joel Drennen |
Thank you for providing a little bit of optimism Comment from : Davysprocket213 |
Name one democrat run city that is doing well Comment from : Jose Jimenez |
It doesn't seem that long ago where we took the BART into SF and had a wonderful day Now it is too damn dangerous just to ride the BART Ever wonder why BART has it's own police department Comment from : Jose Jimenez |
All it takes is just one time where your car is broken into, and your visit is ruined Those who say it is not that bad will get their time when crime is on their doorsteps The place sucks, and the effing liberals made it that way All they do is talk, talk, talk while they make it worse And they keep voting for the same people over and over SF is now just Oakland East Comment from : Jose Jimenez |
This video contains the same sort of delusional thinking that has turned California into a terrible place Comment from : jayna reynolds |
Did you smell the pee stained streets or walk over used needles? Were the homeless friendly or did they throw feces at you? Comment from : SomeDumbDude |
Lived 25 years in the Bay Area starting in the mid 90s DONE---> I hope I never visit that area ever again Hippy nuisance! Comment from : G P |
Just drove through that shit hole last weekend What a dump What’s funny is they’re people stupid enough to live there Hahahahah stay there and don’t move south, we don’t want you I don’t want you either Comment from : T Dog |
The beginning to an end Tourist are not even coming there Major hotels and business gone due to high requirements, standards, expenses, taxes, unaffordable mortgages and rent, crimes and overhead The list goes on The amount of vacancies of major buildings, tech jobs migrating to greener pastures or working from home, business decline due to city/state standards and crimes (shoplifting), big name retail stores leaving due to a weak justice system from increase crime rates, homelessness, mom an pop shops tired of the vandalism/ break-ins, and etc This is a videos made 2 weeks ago compared to what SF looks like 10 yrs ago during this same summer time frame is usually filled with tourist It’s empty and I don’t see the usual hustle and bustle SF usually has to offer The roads, parks and major tourist attractions you just showed look like locals enjoying what they have left of San Francisco We had friends come back from SF 2 days ago and they said they will not go back unless things change They said it was truly depressing what they saw in downtown SF Comment from : John John Crisostomo |
I’m still stumped how these guys from the other side of the Bay beat Oakland in the crime category Are these statistics from Hunter’s Point Comment from : Neuro32 |
San Francisco has the third most expensive real estate in the United States All you have to do is avoid the bad part of the city The same thing is true in Oakland Comment from : Michael DeSilvio |
The weather in SF is nice, other than that it’s not worth it Comment from : David Siemer |
It would be nice if more people in SF moderated their politics or ideology, but that won't happen until the city is fog-free & no longer susceptible to earthquakes A majority of voters in Chicago earlier this yr elected a person who's even more far left than who he replaced (sometimes nicknamed Beetlejuice), & too many folks in SF are no less (quote, unquote) lefty (as opposed to "leftist") Comment from : gridley |
When the city is beyond trashed im sure the lowlife will be heading over the trash the parks as well in 2018 things were better when I went there for my vacation but now not so good Comment from : Baneanator 2023 |

Thanks for posting this man! I was wondering how SF is doing today and looking at so many videos brI'll never forget smoking a bowl in Al Capones Alcatraz cell and at the top of the blocks where the yard/basketball court is during the summer of '07 I was only 17 with my buddy and we smoked in every iconic spot and thought it was so cool We were gonna smoke on the golden gate but the literal second our skateboards hit the ground we were ordered to get off them and we realized it wasn't a good idea LOL brSmoked out all over the japanese tea gardens and were stoked the tea leaves looked like potbrHad the best chinese food in chinatown at some hole in the wall where no one spoke english Never ever have i had chicken chow mein like that brWasn't old enough for Anchor brew co Sad about that Comment from : Dipton Sauce |
