The reason why you didn't see many skyscrapers in Jeddah is because the city is just so big compared to Dubai that it just wouldn't make sense to build tall buildings that are much more expensive when you are not in a shortage of land to build on Another thing is that people in Saudi tend to stay home during the day because it can be excruciatingly hot to be outside at that time especially in the summer Had you visited Jeddah during the winter, you might have seen more people during the day Jeddah is a really beautiful city And while Riyadh might be the more developed one, Jeddah has its own vibe It's also more diverse, and it's by the sea which Riyadh lacks It has all the potential to be in par with Dubai if not better in few years if it continued its rapid development!
