THIS IS A LIE!!! We just got scammed with this Day Pass and had to pay the full fare on the train Jokes Even though we asked the attendant at the station we were not informed which train we should hop on Odakyu is not a tourist friendly line and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone

I will write better review, since my previous comment has been removed brHakone was nice in nature and well maintained region but we experienced rude staffs of Odakyu, the sightseeing places were quite expensive even with Hakone Free Pass you must pay again and the staffs didn't tell about it, and please inform or try to give a partial refund if the ropeway wasn't working on the day due to whatever reason!

I am doing the Hakone loop in the opposite direction starting from Odawara Station and boarding on the Tozan train to Hakone-Yamoto Does anyone know if one hour be enough to tour around Hakone-Yamoto station for the street food and souvenir before heading to Gore? and continuing to Souzan for the cable car?

I just tried to follow your steps and I've got a few comments, the first is the hiking trail is very difficult br Second is the Onsen, they of today do not accept tattoos and no bathing suits and the route to get there is dange after the bus, you walk 11 km on the side of the road, those details should have been mentioned😢

I went to Hakone in 2019 for my birthday and I am so glad that tea shop is still around The atmosphere was so relaxing and the staff was amazing! For anyone who wants to try the old Tokaido road, make sure you wear good walking shoes! The uneven stones really make you work for it haha

The Hakone Pass also works for the buses to/from Mishima Station, which is nice if you are traveling from Shizuoka or Nagoya or want to include the Mishima SkyWalk as part of your trip

That 'pirate ship' is truly awful I don't know what they were thinking when they came up with that idea It looks like something out of Disneyland, and is completely at odds with the serenity and grandeur of the shrine and view of Fuji-san I much preferred the sleek modern craft, but unfortunately it only goes half way along the lake, not all the way to Togendai, where you pick up the cable car
