My, I was in Thailand in 1996 (22 years ago), and it had a ton more scams, tons of uglier prostitution and all the rest It was also FAR FAR FAR DIRTIERit's cleaner now, the prostitution has actually cleaned up (the worst side of prositution moved to cambodia and other places - ie underage stuff and little oversight), on and on I also feel like there are so many toursits now that Thai people don't try to scam as much
