Just sayinbut opting for an 'Adventure' in a country you are not going to be able to hold anyone accountable is 'questionable' I ran a hot air balloon flight company in Oregon, USA for 25 years, we flew over 50,000 guests with no accidents or incidents A hot air balloon is pretty much the safest aviation equipment there isit is the pilots ya got to watch out for I sure wish I could give you some information on how to figure out if yours is 'worthy'But asking if the company you are engaging with if they have had any accidents or incidents might help (An 'incident' is when the balloon had over $1000 worth of damage, but nobody had any broken bones) Blocking yourself from an awesome experience because of a horrible accident somewhere is unfortunateafter all, we still drive cars, get on boatsand of course, airplanes Considered risk is something that has to be accepted in ANY adventureotherwise, it is not much of an adventure Go to Disneyland if you want to avoid real life

My Wife and I rode on one of these balloons at Luxor in 2011 It was the best ride I’ve had in my life and I think that all these accidents were caused by pilot error and not the Balloons being faulty Would I go on another Balloon flight Absolutely, but would want to know that the pilot has a lot of experience and knows what he is doing

This is what happens when 3rd world countries hire local pilots at 3rd world salaries They are not properly trained, and are governed by 3rd world Aviation Authorities who are easily bribed to overlook training and maintenance procedures!!!
