Arrived at Vienna airport around 6am Found my way to the railway station No staff present to sell me a train ticket to the city Needed to make a payment at the ticket machine to get a ticket When I board the train the first OBB staff I see are the ticket inspecters setting up for a fine Luckily I had worked out how to arm myself with a ticket Great welcome to your country Can you still smell sewerage in the city centre right beside the footpath "cafes"? Figmullers was memorable but they crammed me in on the end of a group table as I was by myself Comment from : Bill Eves |
Here's one I made: I didn't keep track of the closing time of the Schönbrunn and got locked on the grounds I saw some people climbing the wall, which I also did When I got to the top, I was afraid to climb down There was a restaurant across the street with a ladder outside I asked if they might move it to me so I could climb down I was refused Finally, a man climbed up the wall and guided my feet down Comment from : angreagach |

The 7 tourist mistakes about Vienna was great! This information will be helpful on upcoming trips Thank you for posting this! Comment from : Mark Kwoka |
The actual and most important reason why people here prefer cash is to maintain independence from banks and anonymity Without cash dictatorship and complete police control is easier to implement You should pay always with cash when you can Please don’t say “people STILL prefer cash” this has nothing to do with technological developments This will not be any different in 100 years given that local citizens keep on being smart Otherwise a nice video and yes public transport is much cheaper, environmentally friendly and faster than cars here and actually in most European cities Comment from : Sap Val |
Cash free is not modern It’s stupid I know some people love to provide their data to credit card companies but that’s not an indicator for „modern“ Also it’s wrong that you can’t tip when paying with card If you want to enjoy Vienna’s skyline go to Kahlenberg Comment from : Austrian Stacker |
Wien ist auch die unfreindlichste Stadt der Welt, irgendwie sarkastisch, aber ich liebs in Wien Comment from : Noobgamer_05_ |

My biggest mistake was expecting a nicer city than Prague But Vienna is worse in practically everything Dirtier, smellier, monuments are in worse condition, high prices and Prague has a much nicer center and cathedralbrThe only reason I would recommend going to Vienna is the club scene - concerts, but again the crowd is much livelier in Prague Comment from : Nhkg17 |

Heard from my friends in Vienna And it does or better did happen during Christmas time and when it was delCorona light/del meaning the markets could openbrBut it still can and does and will happen now brNot necessary on a Christkindl Market brYou pay a deposit for more or less al land every drinking utensils when they are made of glass or ceramic, like a mug brbut you get it back at either a special collection place or back where you bought your drinkbrbrScumbags, and remember those are gangs, come by ,grab your most of the time with liquid inside, glass or mug, lick it, maybe spit insideand say - i have Corona- brNeedless to say you will NOT touch your glass or mug anymorebrThey take it, throw away the liquid and go and collect the deposit And believe men, it is not only one glass or mug Comment from : Benedikt Morak |
