Thanks for the comment about Chili sauce! As a Korean American, I always bring Gochujang (Korean sweet pepper paste) wherever I travel - specifically, I bring the tubed gochujang with minced ground beef It's a lifesaver for me when I have hard time trying new foods Comment from : Jun Park |

Sadly, unattended GoPro's get stolen from everywhere! You don't have to be in Vietnam to have this happen Comment from : Simoa Huni |
I’m not sure what you have been eating here but I’ve been drinking ice cold beer everyday and do not remember ever been served a warm beer in all of the times I’ve been in Vietnam It’s honestly shocking that you think the homemade saté or pounded fresh chilies served on the tables in Vietnam is more “processed” and “lacking in flavor” than tobasco? Ended the video right there Comment from : YK |
Where is that place where you were riding bike on a green mountain at the start of the video Comment from : Vedant Chanani |

Another tip, Karma Group Europesn touts in Hoi An Ancient Village are aggressive, harassing and extremely rude and patronising Just tell them to pass off They will not take no for an answer and will harrass you endlessly and repeatedly Karma Group Hotels is a scam, avoid at all costs Locals are kind and will leave you alone if you say no, Karma Group Touts are ruining the tourism everywhere they operate thier scam Comment from : FastedCarbio |
Do you think you could do Vietnam in 2wks? Comment from : Andrew Eastman |

To be honest i think there are more scammers in Thailand Maybe you need to press reset your every visit so the experience from one country does not impact the next Comment from : Taru A |
Meh don't listen to this guy He's oddly negative for the clickbait titles Yeah if you're in some very rural area or at a tiny hole in the wall "restaurant" don't expect all the amenities, but everywhere I've gone this month they have all served cold beer Maybe 1 out of 20 has given me a room temperature can but they've given me a cup filled with ice If you need something, just ask Comment from : C |

You were surprised something got stolen when it was left out in the open? brbrYou left your key in the scooter and was surprised it was gone? Where do you normally live haha brbrPeople in Thailand are less likely to steal? Lol come on mate Comment from : Soobin Kim |
I tried to appreciate the intent of this video, which is to help others avoid making the same “mistakes” you made But your blatant ignorance, lack of planning, and general lack of understanding or appreciation for Vietnam’s culture shows It’s unfortunate videos like this are floating around giving people misconceptions of a wonderful country (with pros and cons very much like every country) Your actual mistakes are projecting Western expectations on a 3rd world developing country and lack of common sense Yeah, if you’re careless and leave your belongings somewhere, chances are it’ll get stolen and that’s not exceptional to VN - try it in every other country and see what happens There are honest and dishonest people all over the world Similarly, there are great, good and bad restaurants in every country - so to label an ENTIRE country as not a foodie destination (Anthony Bourdain has a video that would contradict you) is unfair, disrespectful and laughably myopic As many others have nicely pointed out, you didn’t plan well, research, or frankly apply common sense to your travels You had access to Google translate but did you bother to ask for ice (vs expecting it)? Hopefully others are taking this bad advice with 8lbs of salt because you’re actually doing a disservice to people Travel is about broadening your horizons, not just taking what limited world view you have and projecting that across every country you visit Perhaps a better place to start is visiting your own expectations and asking why another culture needs to meet them in order to be considered good/worthy Comment from : MC |
Why are you always around kids? Lol Comment from : Dont be Mad |
Vietnam NOT a foody destination??? Srsly WTF!?!? Comment from : MF P |

I would say if you have a choice, do not book VietJet air tickets (the cheapest airline) Choose another airlines because VietJet constantly delays flights from 15 min to 5 h Comment from : Ирина Спейс |
Great vid! Was it hard to get a visa to be able to stay 2 months? I am planning my second trip to Thailand with a side of Vietnam so I am going to watch your other vid right now Thank you! Comment from : Eric Ross |
I didn’t know there existed countries where you could leave your keys in your car (or motorbike) for TWO WEEKS and it WOULDN’T be gone That is remarkable I’m from the US and would fully expect my things to be stolen if left unsecured Comment from : ZP |
Really value your content Paddy It helped heaps when I visited Thailand last year Just wondering if you can recommend somewhere in Vietnam that is similar to Ao Nang? I'm looking for a similar beach town to stay for a trip to Vietnam in December Comment from : nathan m |
Such a good advise "see less, experience more" ❤ Comment from : vanessainthesky |
🐹 Comment from : Danial Harith Ridzuan |
Some good tips brHowever I wouldn’t leave a vehicle with the keys on, or a go pro hanging from the hand bar anywhere in Europe I don’t believe it’s a valid argument saying that you might get robbed in Vietnam Maybe you just want to be sensible to where you leave your belongings Comment from : David Duport |
Oh no I literally just planned to go for 3 months june-august haha Comment from : The Tall Traveller |
I don’t know where you are from But any place in the USA, if you leave your keys or GoPro in the car, that it would be stolen for sure My experience in Vn is almost the opposite I left my camera in a small store buying water in the Mekong delta, and later the store owner found me on the boat dock to return my camera and wouldn’t take anything So saying Thailand is better than VN in this aspect Big generalization otherwise good tips Comment from : Roger Rossman |
So basically, common sense prevails Comment from : Kirk OBrien |

Sorry to be picky, but if you are English why do you spell Travelling as traveling? Comment from : Harrys Happenings |
Dear Paddy, the best part of travelling is to get surprised in any aspects isn't it? If you expect everything to be the same to what you already know, why bother leaving the comfort of your home? Talking about cold beer: they serve it in vn on the rocks About hot sauce by your meal: in vn you get fresh hot chilli peppers in every restaurant every where Foreigners may get some 'chili sauce for kids' because people think the fresh chilli might be too hot for them A smile on your face will always add more values to everything everywhere you go Comment from : minnie fontein |
Warm beer and bad food, good god :) No ice either, for real? Was thinking about spending some time Up north now im not so sure… Comment from : b4bmm |

You left an expensive camera (gopro) unattended on motorbike !! What do you expect ? It will get stolen in 199 countries around the world Same goes if you leave your keys in a bike! Comment from : Mosaddeque Shahrier |
Your English very good Comment from : review tour |
Thank you for sharing your experiences in Viet Nam, I like the way to called "Sai Gon", the people that love Viet Nam are using Sai Gon instead Ho Chi Minh, as you know Ho Chi Minh is a nickname that the Chinese that gave to Nguyen Sinh Cung when he was in China and by honoring the help from China, Vietnamese communist party changed Sai Gon to Ho Chi Minh Comment from : Tay Nguyen |
