With all the technology that we have now, it seems that instead of using open flames, maybe they could just use really warm air and push that upwards… and just incase non flammable materials? Emergency parachutes to be worn at all times? Idk I just feel like some of these could have been avoidable

I would love to ride in one of these before I die and an aeroplane and jump out of an aeroplane and with a parachute obviously lol and maybe absail and bungee jump I've only been in a helicopter that was 5 yrs ago for about ten minutes for my 50th birthday a this stuff is what I will do one day and more hopefully before I'm 60

I have flown over 30- 40 times The ballons are fairly safe Always want to fly with an experienced pilot I noticed a number of the accidents were the huge basket flights Those I would never go on

A co-worker and I were on our way to Lockhart, TX to service a dirt excavator We spotted the balloon and snapped a photo of it in mid-air I told my co-worker I always wanted to go up in a balloon He replied, " No you don't" About 30 minutes later, the balloon struck some power lines
